I can brush him & 2 days later he has knots where there were none.This product has a nice scent – altho if you don’t like medium to strong scents, you might not find it welcome. Our boy happens to like anything that is scented – from lotion to cologne. He’ll follow you around the house if you’ve just applied hand lotion lol. So, he loves the scent.Our boy does not enjoy being brushed, however, when I spritz this on his fur, he likes the scent – so, I rub it in a bit then gently brush. While I could likely brush him all day & never have hairless bristles in the brush – he has no objections to being brushed. Gentle tangles just brush right out without discomfort.This really is a good product for us.
