A decent waterproof trimmer, great for travel
This waterproof trimmer is pretty decent, and for the price, it’s worth considering. It has a locking function to keep the trimmer from turning on in a bag or suitcase, which is a big plus. The ~60 minute runtime means you can charge it before a trip and not have to worry about bringing the charger with you. It comes with a variety of combs, so you have options for several different hair lengths. Overall, I like this trimmer as long as you understand it’s limitations …First, the vibrating ‘blade’ is plastic. It’s just not going to do as good a job as all steel designs, so let’s just get that out of the way. You will likely have to go over the same area a few times (particularly if you shave in the shower) to make sure you don’t miss some hairs.Second, the combs are fiddly, hard to put on, and I eventually just left the 2mm comb on for convenience. You will feel like you’re going to break the combs forcing them on, and I even started to remove the blade assembly a few times trying to get them on. So while having multiple combs is nice, you likely won’t use them if you’re like me.Lastly, while it has a descent charging dock, it comes with a proprietary USB cable but without an actual charger. I hate this trend of just assuming everyone has spare USB charging bricks lying around, and particularly expecting someone would have one in the bathroom doesn’t make much sense. While it’s good to keep e-waste to a minimum, I still have to take issue with it.That said, the trimmer worked out of the box, already fully charged, and once I resolved to just leave the one comb installed, I was pretty satisfied with it. I will likely keep this my suitcase as a travel option, as I find it best suited for that purpose.
