A ton of nutritional info in an easy to read format along with great recipes
This is the only book I have been able to find that is comprehensive but isn’t also a textbook. I found it full of interesting facts and useful information about each vitamin, mineral and nutrient out there. It’s very approachable and easy to understand for the lay person.I’m not a dietitian or nutritionist or even a food nerd. I just like to arm myself with info. The nice thing is the book is designed in chapters so you can easily look up a particular vitamin or mineral easily. The recipes at the end of every single nutrient and vitamin section are relatively easy and great ways to incorporate the info in my diet. And there is a good variety of recipes as well. They are all straightforward and don’t require you to be a chef. The avocado chocolate mouse is creative and delicious, for example, but only took 10 minutes to prepare!I also liked how the author included ‘Vitamin Z’ for sleep at the end of the book. Of course, you can eat healthy but if you don’t get enough sleep, you don’t get the full benefit of the nutrients you are eating. You can tell the author put a lot of research and thought into this book and it’s well written, laid out and full of recent updates. I feel like I have some clarity now amidst all of the conflicting nutrition information out there. It’s a great resource and I highly recommend. My only ding on the book would be I wish there was more personalized stories and anecdotes about vitamins and minerals but otherwise a great resource for those who want to arm themselves with solid information about nutrition.

    Perfect nutrition advice
I practically live by this author’s advice. I was able to use this book to see what vitamins I usually eat in food and what and when I need supplements. I was told that I needed more protein in my diet by my doctor, so I went to this book, and I found that I can eat or drink enough protein I need in a day. I am choosing to eat and drink most of my vitamins now, and it isn’t as hard as I thought it would be with the help of this book. I chose my supplements as back up for where I see I am not getting all the vitamins and minerals suggested for the day. This book will keep you on the right track for health.

    Easy reference
This book was laid out well to be able to pick up and reference quickly. I really like that it gave me the knowledge of what I was eating was really helpful and I really didn’t need to supplement as much as I thought. I learned a lot more about seeds and meats and the nutrition they offer. I would recommend this book to anyone wanted to feel better about what they consume or as motivation to eat better foods.

    Very informative book!
I purchased this book in hopes to find easy recipes to eat healthier without needing to eat all the vitamin supplements my dad drops off for me. My typical meals are fast food and leftovers, and I realize I need to do a better job with getting my vitamins. Most importantly, I wanted easy recipes to make and learn about what vitamins I’m consuming (and how beneficial they are to me).I found this book to be an information book with lots of information that I didn’t know about related to health and the benefits of the different types of vitamins out there (including ones I have never heard of). The recipes are relatively easy, and the food wasn’t bad. I haven’t gone through all the recipes yet, but as the quarantining continues on during this unprecedented time, I’m sure I will get through a lot of recipes over the next few weeks.I definitely recommend this book for anyone interested in learning more about healthy eating, the benefits of vitamins, and some terrific tasting and easy recipes. Another plus…the book is very affordable!

    Basic Easy to read
We are looking for fresh and frozen prepping recipes to balance VITAMIN k.This book has only 1 recipe in the Vitamin K section & in a three serving recipe is not practical for our lifestyle. I then went to her blog and it referenced me to a Trader Joe entree that she propped up with some frozen veggies into a meal bowl, well duh. Not much substance other than another commercially processed food with added veggies. No mention of any effects of freezing on the soup recipe and changes that happens to the vitamin K.A waste of anticipation, time and money for me, but it is a cute little book.

Great book to learn and natural vitamins
This book is absolutely amazing. It explains things so simply and also explains the dangers of over consuming certain vitamins with the use of supplements versus just eating the whole food and getting it from the source and how it’s almost impossible to over consume vitamins from the whole source.

MUCHAS GRACIAS.

This is exactly what I was looking for. All the main vitamins and minerals, with details of why we need them, how much we need, how to get them, and what other foods helps or hinders absorbtion. Eco-friendly book too, with plain paper and matt card, and no pointless images wasting paper and adding weight.

I thought the book, had been researched really well and was easy to read. It contained good information on foods to consume rich in various vitamins and minerals. The only thing I was a little disappointed in was a lot of the food suggestions were more animal based and not as many non animal foods were listed.
