Lights, sound, and movement!
This little crab works great.It’s USB-rechargeable (via USB-C), the movement is swift and smooth, while also doing a great job of not getting stuck in corners. The only issue is that it really likes hard floors but struggles a bit on plush carpets.It has also survived being absolutely thrashed by my cats, thrown by my toddler, and abused in every other conceivable way by the same aforementioned toddler.And while the sound isn’t great quality, the simple beat gets my toddler dancing every time. And it is definitely entertaining. He’s thrilled with it and frequently asks me to turn it on. He loves bopping to the music. Unfortunately, the crab leg movements freak him out. Maybe it’s an engrained fear of spiders that is at work there?But hey, for this low price, the value is great, because why not get it and see if your child will like it? If they don’t, maybe your pets will like it. And if they don’t, you can always regift it to somebody else who has a baby/toddler.9/10

Loud but a cute toy, moves really well
It’s cute and works well on carpet (mine are a low pile) and hardwood. There are little sensors in the claws that keep it from running into walls. My one year old likes it but wasn’t sure at first. It does have several speeds that it moves at but the slowest speed is still fairly fast. Colors are just like the images. The music is loud! There are two modes, sound on and sound off. But the on mode is very loud and the music is very repetitive. Still it’s a good product and great to get kids moving. My niece also really liked playing with my 1 year old with it and she is 6.Video is taken with the toy on the slowest speed.

Cute toy, but basically just goes back and forth really quick. Has exposed gears!
This thing is cute and definitely catches the attention of our grandbaby when it runs across the floor. I like it has a rechargeable battery and comes with a USB charging cable. The power switch has an option to run with or without music, which is nice. It has optical sensors on each side, so it will stop as it approaches an object and change direction.FunctionalityIn my testing the sensors on the sides did not detect objects the best. There were times it would run into items like chairs or table legs and keep trying to go. When it does detect an object it just stops and goes in the opposite direction, so the crab basically just goes back and forth between two objects. Occasionally, it may slightly change direction, but that has more to due with a bump in the floor or carpet as there is no turning mechanism on this toy. Lastly the speed is was too quick. By the time my grandbaby can focus in on the crab, it has zoomed into the other room, and she can’t keep up with it. But if I turn it off and hand it to her, she is fascinated by it and does like to play with it. I am a little concerned about the durability because the legs are very thin and attached to the spinning gears by a tiny screw. Also the legs attach to spinning gears with are exposed on the bottom. It’s very cute and I think any baby at the stage to interact with it will love it. Seems to be well made and thought out to be fun and functional for a baby. I think it’s super cute and a great toy.

This review is for Crawling Crab Baby Toy, Infant Tummy Time Baby Toys from HCHILDHOOD Store, $20 on Amazon.The only problem with this crawling Crab is that he is just too cute. You’re going to want to play with him/watch him crawling and not give it to the baby.Has rechargeable battery that gets charged using the provide USB-C to USB-A cable with USB-A plugged into 5 VDC power source. Other similar crawling toys take AA batteries.The slide switch engages the crawling mode with or without music.His two claws each contain a sensor that prompts him to back up when he senses an obstruction in the direction of movement. But that does not work for objects that are not high enough. Easy for him to get stuck in between two objects which will require gentle nudge with your foot.His pirate hat and eyes light up when he is powered on.My 11 month old granddaughter loves this crab. She follows him around the kitchen either crawling or in her ‘bumper chair’.I highly recommend this toy but make sure you play with him first.

Fun and Engaging Toy for Crawling Babies!
We got the Crawling Crab Baby Toy for my grandson, and although he was a little scared of it at first, he quickly warmed up to it and now absolutely loves it! It’s been a great addition to his tummy time and crawling practice. The way the crab moves around keeps him entertained, and he giggles while trying to catch it, which is adorable to watch.The music and movement really capture his attention, helping to encourage him to move and explore.
