Great Piece of Equipment for Caregiving
Nice transfer bench to assist my wife with bathing. She just had a full knee replacement and couldn’t really stand on her own in the shower yet, so this unit fit great in our jet tub.It is adjustable for the height and fit well over our tub which is 18″ high from the floor of the bathroom. The bench seems very well built and does not require any tolls to assemble. It can also be faced forward or to the rear of the bathing area.Very well built and a good value @ $60.The bench is very high quality in my opinion and we will pack it up when we’re done with it for any future need.I highly recommend this transfer bench.

Independence is here!
Wow! What a great shower bench! I fractured my ankle, and had surgery last Friday. I’ve been struggling with many aspects of my independence. Since I can’t place any weight on my ankle for abt 6 wks. I’ve managed to use crutches, a wheelchair and do my own transfers. I was needing my family help each day with showers. It became a big job for whomever was next to help me..until I found this chair. I can easily, and safely transfer myself to the bench. It was an awesome feeling to shower without the added help. My family still checks in with me, but it’s a quick I’m good answer! I’m thankful for equipment like this. Excellent quality, easy to put together, and it works as advertised! Thanks

Works very well, and has rubber suction cup feet.
Got this bathtub chair for my 92 year old mom, so she can comfortably take a shower. The shower bench has great adjustability in height as well as nice rubber feet to keep it in place and not move. Even if you don’t have smooth tile where the suction cups can stick onto, the rubber feet help to keep it from sliding. The plastic is nice and light gray, and has enough holes to let water flor through the bench for faster drying. It’s long enough to span most tubs even the wide ones. All in all a very well made and designed bathroom tub bench. I would recommend it for the elderly or any one that just wants a bench to sit on while in the tub or the shower.

Sturdy and Practical with a Couple of Modifications
This bench, rather than a chair, is safer and more practical for people, like myself, who are recovering from a leg injury/surgery resulting in a leg in a brace or a cast. Having a seat on the outside of the tub allows the user to position the bench so that the braced leg has enough room to rotate over the tub wall into the tub safely. Once the braced leg is in the tub, it is easy to slide onto the middle part of the bench using your good leg. You will need to cut the shower liner in 2 places allowing this portion to slide into the space in-between the first and the second seat. This will prevent, if you are careful with a handheld shower head, water from spilling out of the tub due to the spray of water. I did not have any spillage but I also have a person monitoring the curtain while I am in the tub. Also be aware, it is a bit challenging to clean everywhere if you are not able to lift your torso off the seat a bit as the holes in the bench do not allow a great deal of irrigation. Overall I am very happy with this product .

Perfect
UPDATE: Changed this to 5 star. Just ordered another one after 6 years of use. Old one was getting grungy and although it seemed still sturdy, we worried about age/wear related failure. (It does have a lifetime warranty-we just prefer to play it safe. Our Invacare bench collapsed a leg after 5 years and that was pretty scary.) Price for 6 years of use is pretty cheap.Really easy to assemble. As I noted before, if you use in a tub, you have to adjust the legs to different heights to keep the seat level. You don’t need any tools or any real strength to assemble. I used a screw driver to push in the buttons because my fingernails got in the way and I didn’t want to trim them down.We learned to live with the seat size and adapted to trimming our shower curtain to fit. Still not as good as a roll-in shower, but manageable for us, as we both now need help in the shower.____________________Got this to replace our current transfer bench (Invacare) which lost a leg. This is ok, but not that much really extends out from the tub. Also the suction cups don’t really allow this to stand flat on the downward slope of a tub. So it feels a bit wobbly, although fine once you put weight on it. Also to cut the shower curtain to fit thru the slot of the seat means you only get a 17inch wide seat. This is ok if you are a skinny person, but it’s not so good for someone who’s almost 300 lbs. It was easy enough to put together. You do need to jiggle/twist the adjustment pins so they snap into place. Also the instructions tell you to be sure all the legs are the same height. This absolutely will not work for a tub. Outside has to be longer than the inside. Inside back needs to be shorter than inside front (for slope of tub). Think this is much better for a shower with a flat floor, than a tub. We will keep and use this because my wheelchair-bound husband needs something to help him clean up, but I will be looking for something that works a bit better for us.

When you need one of these in a hurry you’re greatful for fast as hopping! Instructions were not great but it’s not a difficult product to assemble with common sense and a picture of the finished product from the components provided. In use it is SLIGHTLY wobbly, but they all are,we have used several different types and quality is all about the same. Look for big stable feet and legs that splay slightly outwards for greater stability than those with legs that are straight vertical. This bench works on its tallest settings for our old 1980’s bathtub surround with sliding glass shower doors without having to remove the doors or damage the tub. Post surgery and unstable on her feet this allowed my mother to stay in her own home and still be able to shower safely without costly and untimely home renovations. Post surgery she is unable to raise her arms and is receiving aid from a medical personal support worker. This bench was recommended by her PSW and even though she may only need it for a couple of months it is well with the cost. It’s a good quality for the price and is sturdy enough in use to be considered safe and practical. Mum can lift this herself and install into the tub by pivoting on the two outside legs to carry the weight. She’s in her 80’s and just had surgery and can manage this just three weeks later. So yes I endorse this shower bench product.Money well spent when it was very tight and we needed it immediately.👍👍

I bought this for my son who has a broken ankle and a cast up to his knee. We have a bathtub shower and I was worried about him stepping over the rim of the tub to get to the shower chair. This chair is great because the bit that stays out of the shower makes getting in & out much easier than having to step over the rim of the tub. It is a more expensive thank the standard shower chairs, but for safety and stability getting in & out over the bathtub rim, this is hands down the best shower chair. Added bonuses, it was very easy to assemble, the suction is very strong, the design of it makes it much more flexible in terms of bathtub sizing (with two feet out of the tub, the feet in the tub can go anywhere, you’re not limited to the width of your tub) and delivery was super quick. I am very pleased with this purchase.
