Easy to recommend this book
I love a new text book. I have a degree in mechanical engineering and graduate degrees in physics and bio-engineering. My dad was an EE and taught me how to solder as soon as I could hold the iron, read a resistor, align a TV, use an oscilloscope, test vacuum tubes, read a schematic, etc. I took many senior level and graduate courses in electrical engineering during my studies at the university. I purchase several new text books each year to refresh my knowledge and also to gain a new perspective on topics for which I already have a good understanding. It’s refreshing to see different approaches and a different emphasis.Dr. Al-Sammak’s book was perfect for what I wanted. His approach was interesting to me and encouraged me to look at concepts and behaviors from a different angle which gave me a better and different understanding of familiar topics and brought better understanding of topics I hadn’t studied in depth before. When I found a few typos and emailed him at the provided email address, Dr. Al-Sammak responded very quickly and was very gracious. The corrections I suggested were incorporated in this latest release.I can easily recommend this book for a new student or for a refresher. I also love the LaTeX typesetting. The absolute best for math and science!

Typeface and color choice make this book almost unreadable.
Just received book and thumbing thru the pages is very disappointing. Seems book has a wealth of good technical info and multiple math equation / formula examples. However the poor choice of using a light blue typeface color for the table of contents and other important places in book, subject headlines, etc. makes the wording almost impossible to read. Typeface is too small to be easily read. Numerous math equations and formulas are displayed in a small typeface making it almost impossible to see small details such as subscript and superscript notations.Hope a version two will be published that corrects numerous and obvious errors in book design and printing choices.
