My 5 year old loves it
My 5 year old used his Christmas money to get this remote control excavator. He is quite hard on toys so I was hesitant to let him spend $30 on it. I’m happy to say that after a couple months it’s holding up well. That said, here is why I gave it 4 stars:• The rechargeable battery is not convenient. You have to unscrew the compartment and remove the battery which clips into the other wires. I can see this breaking easily if not handled with care.• There is no volume control.• The tracks slip off, not super often, but often enough to be annoying.Overall we are pleased with the purchase as my son loves it.

Very fun toy. After opening this, our 4 year old didn’t want to open any other gifts. He just wanted to play with the digger.

Broken parts
Have ordered 3 of these. 2 of them had broken (hydraulic cylinder) covers on the bucket arm. Doesn’t hurt the functionality but allows a piece to hang freely and doesn’t look good when your giving them as presents to small boys. Was able to superglue one together will be sending one back as it’s not able to be glued together

Disappointed/Returning
I did not like this product. Opened on Christmas. Put batteries in the remote. The thing did not move. When I went to put the replacement batteries inside, there was literally no way to replace the batteries. I ended up disassembling the entire car trying to replace the batteries. I did not like this toy and will not be replacing or buying again. I will be returning item.

Great toy
I got this for a friend’s kid for Christmas and he loved it! Oh, and the kid loved it too. I took it out before giving it to the Dad to wrap just to make sure it was in good shape and it was surprisingly well-built for the price. It works, it’s gone some fancy lights, and the bonus points: IT COMES WITH BATTERIES. I can’t believe it’s 2023 and we still have to stress over that, so kudos to the manufacturer for getting that part right.

Low Battery Life and Annoying Music
This was purchased to use at the beach for digging and having fun….. it was annoying and did not last long. When using it on the beach the sound was so loud everyone around was looking at us. I would not advice purchasing this for children because it was a horrible song that you cannot turn off that plays over and over.
