I gave this dog toy 2-stars based on my dog toy rating system (DTRS) for “Albert” the Blue Bear!Safety (1-rating):Albert fell apart after 4-hours of use.1. The ears were chewed off and I was only able to find one of them, which means my dog swallowed the other ear. Very big concern as it depends on how big your dog is to pass this object. The ear is about the size of 1.5-quarters.2. The tail was almost chewed off entirely and was hanging on by a thread before I threw it out.3. After the ears came off, the inside foam started to come out, which raised my concern for my dog’s saftey.4. The entire body was soft and did not cause any harm to teeth, gums, paws, nose, etc.Durability (3-rating):1. The ears and tail are the weakest parts of Albert as they can easily be chewed off.2. The body is durable enough to sustain 4-hours of use, as I threw Albert out after the ears and tail were torn off within 4-hours.3. The small squeaker inside Albert’s belly was broken after 15-minutes of use. Thank Goodness!4. My next concern was how long the arms and legs would last; TBD!Squeaker (1-rating):1. Small plastic squeaker, the size of a half-dollar, with a high pitched noise.Fatality (2-rating):1. Albert was put to rest after 4-hours of use as I was concerned for the safety of my dog with continued use.2. This item is definitely not labeled correctly and stupid me should have read the reviews first before spending money on it. It last less than 24 hours with my 6 month old Border Collie. She killed it!!! However, for non aggressive chewers this would be an ideal dog toy. Hope this helps someone decision with dog toys…if you have an aggressive chewers, do not buy this or any other stuffed toys.

Not Indestructible
We purchased this for our 10 month old puppy who loves to chew stuffed toys. But most toys she can destroy in a few days. So I looked around and found this bear. It says for heavy chewers and that it was indestructible and robust. She’s had it for a short time and I’ve already had to mend two area on it. The biggest thing for me? She is half chihuahua and half terrier and she weights 5 pounds!!! The bear is slightly smaller than she is. She loves the bear and spends a lot of time with it. But if my 5 pound dog can put holes in it in about a weeks time a larger dog will rip it to pieces in no time flat. I’m giving it a 2 star review because she does love spending time with her bear. (In the picture the bear is kind of stuffed down near her bottom)

The Bear dog toy has been brilliant for my cattle dog. She loves to play, carrying it around and tossing it into the air. She doesn’t go to bed without it. We know she loves her toys but gets over excited and tends to chew them to pieces – they last 24 hours or if we are lucky 2 days. So far this bear has not had any damage despite her rough play. This is the third day and so far the bear has survived, looking as good as when I took it from the package!! A Great quality product for a reasonable price!
