Excellent formula
We’ve supplemented with formula for all 5 of our babies due to supply issues. We’ve tried a variety of formulas but are really pleased with the ingredient list in By Heart. We think that the food industry has a lot of problems and are really happy to feed our baby organic cow milk and not corn syrup! I wish that there weren’t seed oils in this formula, but that is my only complaint. This formula didn’t exist when we had babies #1 through 4 so we’re using it for #5. Our other babies primarily used Gerber Good Start (some sensitive, some not). We’ve also used some Enfamil and Similac, powder and premade liquid formula, and Walmart Parents Choice generic so that’s what we’re comparing to.When reading reviews about By Heart while deciding whether to use it, it seemed that the biggest complaints were smell and foaminess. I don’t think By Heart is smellier. It seems to be on par with other powder formulas. Premade liquid formula is by far the worst smelling in my opinion (and the worst spit up… just worst all around except for convenience).By Heart does seem to be foamier than other formula. Our system is too use a protein shaker bottle with a whisk ball to make 20 oz of formula at a time and store in the fridge, pouring out a few ounces as needed. This system has worked well in the past with other formula and is also a good way to use By Heart because the foam settles down while it sits in the fridge. So we don’t find the foam to be an issue because of our system.Baby #5 used pre-made liquid formula at the hospital after birth because that’s what they had on hand. When we came home we started using By Heart. He spat up a whole bunch in the hospital with the liquid formula, but stopped as soon as he was on By Heart. We have not had any constipation, digestive, or gas issues with By Heart. He’s happy and growing well! And I appreciate the peace of mind that I’m feeding him with the best ingredients. I would absolutely use this formula in the future over any of the others we’ve tried.

Great formula
We are supplementing with By Heart formula because of my low milk supply (baby boy is a chow hound!). We have not had any issues with constipation or spit up (baby is 1 month old now) and we’ve been using this formula since we brought him home from the hospital. When mixing this, we make the formula in a different cup and stir it to mix it, then pour it into his bottle. We stir rather than shake it to mix because shaking it has produced a TON of air bubbles (and that has been the only time that our baby has spit up at all). Baby boy nurses and I pump as well, and he has never rejected this formula. Definitely a great formula (I used Similac with my daughter and I liked that one but I hadn’t researched formula at the time when I was a Mom for the first time, this time around I did research and I loved this formula and the fact that I can get it easily on Amazon or at Target or Walmart).

Loved this formula
This is the only formula my breast fed baby would take, he also had CMPA at one point and outgrew it but I was still nervous and we had no issues with the dairy in this reigniting an issue for his stomach. It does get foamy so I swirl which takes a while, or you can mix it in advance and let it sit. Works great with the scent bottles. Also the packaging with the scoop holder is nice!

gentle, filling, safe formula
I love the art on the can it is very visually appealing. The can is sturdy, the lid seals tight, and it is easy to put on and off. The can is larger than most formulas, however there is a bigger space between the formula and top of the can that’s filled with air. I like that there is a place to put the scoop in the lid of the can. I used this to supplement breast milk for my baby starting at 7 months. Over the span of about a month I used less breast milk until she was fully transitioned to formula. She did not notice a change in the taste of her milk ever. She didn’t have any GI discomfort or issues. I feel less guilty giving her formula when I use this brand. I’m comforted in knowing it’s organic and has a certified clean label. Excellent price, great quality.

My baby loves it!
My baby loves it! We switched to formula after I stopped producing after getting really sick. I tried several different formulas before this one. By heart was the one that was most gentle on his stomach. I also loved that the ingredients were cleaner than other brands.

No go
I wanted to love this sooo bad because of the clean ingredients and our nutritionist also likes this brand, but it turned out to be just horrible for our baby. First of all it’s SO difficult to dissolve the formula and it is REALLY foamy so I have to make a batch about 2 hours before I wanted to use it for it to be properly dissolved and degassed. We switched to ByHeart when baby was 2 months old, baby became ridiculously gassy, only pooping once every one to two weeks (which was liquidy and radioactive green colored), and he was splitting up and visibly uncomfortable after every feed. He wasn’t gaining weight anymore and with all the issues we went to an ENT and it was revealed that he had reflux irritation doing significant damage to his vocal cords. At 4 months we switched to Bobbie’s gentle formula and now we have regular looking and frequency of poops, normal gas, little spit up, and a very happy baby.

Great formula, but very slow shipping and also got the wrong order
Loved the clean formula for my baby so I had to order more. First time was a very fast delivery, the second time was very slow and had to be shipped in 2 batches (4 and 3). The first batch came in a few weeks later, the “second” batch came in almost a month later and in it was the wrong item! Not the formulas but party trays (totally random right??). I was very disappointed considering I waited for so long. I’ve ordered another batch again but once again, it’s taking a bit long for it to ship out..
