New formula is awful
I’ve been buying this for a couple years and consuming everyday. It’s been subtle in smell and taste when mixed into my morning coffee and I’ve loved the ease of digestion as I have significant gut issues. The last 3 shipments I’ve received came in a slightly smaller bag but then you open it and the air fills with a gross putrid smell that was never there before. The color has also changed and is more yellow and the true test it tastes like it smells! Cannot mask it and is literally not palatable. My stomach was grumbly and bloated after forcing down a 1/2 serving of my usual amount with coffee. Please go back to your original formula. I’m not sure what changed or why but I am no longer a loyal loving it customer and will not be buying this anymore.😥🤢

I have been very happy with Bulk Supplements products over the years and I am still a regular customer.Also, this particular protein powder is radically different from other beef protein isolate powders on the market. I only ordered the Bulk Supplements version because the stuff that has been working so well for me was out of stock at the time (and Bulk Supps stuff had never shown up in my recommendations until I went searching for an alternative). I was also so accustomed to being happy with Bulk Supplements powders etc in the past, that I bought a 1kg bag with no hesitation. Oops.This stuff though, smells bad and tastes worse. It sort of looks like unflavored beef gelatin (coarsely ground and apx the same color) BUT beef gelatin powder IS actually unflavored, AND actually dissolves in water. The flavor of this protein powder reminds me of ground up hamburger that has been over done on on a grill along with a faint charred smell (and once blended the charred smell becomes a very noticeable taste). Oh and as far as protein powders go, this stuff actually messed with my entire digestive system worse than any whey or soy protein powders ever did. The only protein powder I have tried that smelled worse was Brown Rice protein.

Where’s the Beef?!?… it’s in Powder form.
I react to some proteins but I feel the benefits of this one. The straight taste is a bit like bitter rancid beef. Not pleasant but easily masked or if stout enough, easily consumed. I mix mine with cocoa and stevia leaf so I can control the protein concentration. I have ordered before and will be my primary protein supplement for the foreseeable future.Pro’s: no bloating like some proteins (whey) gives me. Mixes well and with other flavors. Cost-effective compared to other brands.Con’s: Taste. That’s about it.

Taste bad by itself, incredible price
It tastes a bit like unflavored gelatin, if you’ve ever tried that, but stronger. I add it to food and it makes the food not taste great. Easy to tolerate. Might taste great in milk! But I am lactose intolerant. The price is incredible for a carnivore protein though and makes me feel comfortable having large amounts per day. Highly recommend, just can’t give 5 stars due to the taste.

Low quality rotten meat powder
I have purchased this product in the past, and I never had a problem with it. In fact, I thought it was an incredibly useful and affordable product until recently. Right when you open the bag, you’re going to notice a very rancid smell that will permeate the room. Then when you’re dumb enough to consume it after smelling it, your stomach will rumble and the next morning you’ll have diarrhea. After reading some recent reviews, I can see that they have lowered the product quality, I will not be buying this ever again.

Rancid batch
I’ve used this product before and it was fine. Tried it again, and got a rancid batch. Smelled bad, different than the first batch I bought and used. Tried it thinking maybe they had changed the recipe, but gave me severe GI issues. Contacted the company for a refund or replacement and they were not helpful. They offered to have me pay to ship back to them, and then a partial refund. I won’t use this product again.

Not for the faint of heart
This comes from meat, NOT milk so it has a pungent meat flavor that, for lack of a better comparison, I liken to raw hamburger or even a barnyard. It definitely meets my protein requirements so I definitely recommend but I suggest using it for savory foods like beef based soups and stews.

Doesn’t taste right and smells kinda like ammonia
2nd or 3rd bag. Powder is more yellow and it doesn’t smell good at all. Ammonia smell hits as soon as I opened the bag.Mixes well and all that, it doesn’t taste right though.I wish I could return it.

Don’t buy this product. Awful smell and taste disgusting. Not fit for human consumption. The worst part is, if you need to return this, you have to pay the postage to America ($40). That’s not worth. So save you money.
