Our Little One’s First Taste of Apples: A Sweet Success!
We recently gave our little man a slice of apple to suck on, and he absolutely loved it! That was our cue to officially introduce apples as part of his solid food lineup. While searching for the right option, I came across this particular brand and was pleasantly surprised to learn that it’s sold exclusively at Whole Foods. It’s good to know I can grab it there, but honestly, I might find it more convenient to just order it through Amazon Prime and have it delivered straight to my door. The jars come neatly packaged and are the perfect size for easy storage, whether in the pantry or a cool, dry place. I specifically chose this brand because of its commitment to clean, high-quality ingredients. When introducing solids, it’s important to minimize unnecessary additives and preservatives. While avoiding them entirely can be challenging, it’s definitely worth the effort when possible. As for the taste test? Our little guy absolutely devoured half a container on his first try—he couldn’t get enough! I took a small taste myself, and I have to say, it’s naturally sweet and delicious. Because of the sugar content, I wouldn’t recommend giving this too late in the day, just to avoid a sugar rush before bedtime. The only downside is the price—it’s definitely on the higher end. However, I think it’s worth it, especially as a mixing option for meals or a convenient snack when we’re out and about. At the end of the day, you get what you pay for, and being mindful of what we give our little one is worth every penny. Look at the sellers website, they provide really good information about their products, it was very helpful. The remaining half of the container didn’t go to waste either—my wife mixed it into his oatmeal the next morning, and it was a huge success! Pairing it with more neutral foods seems to be a great way to help him eat more while still enjoying the flavor. Safe to say, this apple purée is now a staple in our little one’s diet!

    Good clean ingredients
A bit more expensive than the name brands but this is made with organic and clean ingredients. Safely packaged. Tastes great and has a lot of nutritional value

    Expensive but nice
This is a single ingredient puree – just pear and nothing else (no water, preservatives, or other fruits or veggies). It’s definitely on the expensive side for baby food, but it’s nice that it comes in glass jars. It has an applesauce consistency. No complaints from my baby on flavor!I ordered in late February and received a lot expiration date that was a little less than a year out.

    Quality
$36 for a 12 pack is a bit high but they are organic & regeneratively farmed. The heavy metal testing is a big deal, there seems to be an issue with standard brands. If you have the means, give them a try. Single ingredient is good for early introductions. I’d guess the people complaining about taste/color aren’t used to what unadulterated, unsweetened food actually looks & tastes like. If your food is incredibly sweet, that might not be a good sign.

    Gross
My son (6 months) loves applesauce. When he refuses other solids, we mix them with apple purées to get him to try. These should have been a home run for us.They were not. When I opened the first jar, I immediately noticed a brown crust around the mouth of the jar. I assumed that it might have been compromised in some way, so I tasted it. Gross. I sat it aside and grabbed another jar. I was sure to check the tampering button before opening it.Same thing. Crusty top, bad flavor. I thought the flavor might just be due to something I ate clashing with the flavor. I tried feeding some to my son and he refused it. A version of his favorite food!I don’t know if it’s actually somehow gross and unsafe or if the packaging process is just flawed. Either way, we are not impressed.

    My baby loves this flavor
I was pleasantly surprised when my baby showed that she really likes this flavor of baby food. A plum is not really something I thought to give her and I’m glad I came across this flavor. She actually finishes the whole jar which is rare for her with other baby foods and flavors. I would definitely recommend purchasing this.
