Works on 2013 VW Touareg
Works on 2013 Touareg. On vehicle Media>Source>Aux and on iPhone change sound output from phone or bluetooth to “External Speaker” I think it says.It’s not as loud on same volume setting as Bluetooth streaming.Also when there is no signal sometimes you can hear quiet static squeal that does seem to go away. It’s not a bad connection- I have wiggled the plug a bit and it just decides to go away after 15 seconds or so.3 stars for “value” because it works but I think is priced about right- not low or high. Sound quality would be 5 star but as I said about the background static squeal.My trim is TDI Executive.

This is exactly what I wanted and what I was looking for. I have a 2008 Audi A6 and this adapter fits in my port where the 30 pin adapter was plugged in…in the glove box. I have the 2g high MMI interface and wasn’t sure this was gunna work. Yes people it does!!! It does not charge phone but it does play the music. Sound quality is great. Just turn volume all the way up on phone and u can adjust your volume accordingly with volume on car. I am happy very happy with this purchase and u will be too if your looking to play your tunes from your phone.

2011 VW CC.. It’ll work fine as media player, but it’s finicky. Takes 30+ seconds for the car to recognize you’ve plugged in the iPhone (XR). then it will stop charging the phone after 30-40 seconds.

Lightning plug broke off after the 3 use. Awful quality control and design. Be aware, that the MMI will not recognize this as a through connection to the iPhone meaning you also lose all external media controls. The easily breakable design makes this a hard pass.
