Easy and reliable
This unit was $50 cheaper than my last. It was a breeze to assemble, easy to clean, and easy enough to program. It took me about ten minutes to figure out and incorporate the programming aspect. The only other thing I had to keep in mind was that 1 portion on the display equaled 1 tablespoon of kibble. The unit has a good battery life (enough to handle inconvenient power outages), and seems sturdy. The workings are quiet, though the kibble dispensing into the dish isn’t able to be muffled. My cat took about 36 hours to not panic at “no” food, but it’s been good for her weight and health.

This feeder is perfect! I have it set for 3 feedings a day and the one set for the afternoon is a little less amount for my cat. It was easy to follow the instructions and time settings. I fill it and within a week it’s time to add more. It has battery back up if your electricity goes out. I can leave for a few days and not have to worry about my cat. Its not to noisy and you will get used to it! The design of this item is great.

Works great, had no issues so far. Has a battery reserve incase of a power outage, so no worries there. Perfect for my cat who starts asking for breakfast at 4:30 AM, now he can eat without me having to get up. I’ve been using this for about a month and it’s been excellent! I needed an auto feeder for my cat when I was gone overnight. This one is programmable and can be adjusted for multiple feedings and different portions. It’s a good size, holds a couple weeks of food for one small cat and the lid locks to keep my mischievous cat from opening it on his own.The programming was easy for me, but I think it could be a little complicated for some people if they aren’t used to programming appliances. Food amounts are portioned a little strangely and you need to consult the chart that comes with the machine – make sure you don’t throw that away with the packaging because you will need that if you want to adjust the feedings later. It runs on battery and/or AC power, but if you are using this as feeder when you are traveling I strongly recommend having both so that there is a back up in the event power fails.

This was a breeze to set up out of the box. I didn’t install the battery back-up as I am currently at home for all mealtimes. However yesterday the power was out over a mealtime. When the power came back on, the clock adjusted to the correct time, and fed my cat at the next scheduled feeding. Great reliability to know even if power interrupts a feeding it will remember settings when power is back.

Item arrived fine, but once plugged in I couldn’t get it to work, the screen displays an error mode, even after trying multiple resets, as per user manual. The manual doesn’t have troubleshooting for error codes.IMPORTANT please note that this can’t be returned, I got scammed for 50$.Also, the food tank doesn’t detach from the base, so it wouldn’t be possible to clean it properly.

Although I’ve only been using four and a half days. I have to say I’m quite impressed.The only thing I have found “wrong,” is it looses between 5-10 seconds per day. If you want the same exact feeding time every day then it would not be so good.I have had two messages with the seller, they told me to reset the time every now and then. That they strive to make their product better all the time. I have seen a few mention the clock not keeping accuracy. Personally I would not buy another of this brand.I received an instruction booklet plus a double sided instruction page. With both diagrams and words on one side then a chart showing portions and how much for one to six daily meals. So so easy.Very nice braided power cable and a sub power block. The food dish seems to be the perfect shape for a cat. Wider than it is long, so there is plenty of room for their whiskers.It seems fairly sturdy. The lid locks on. I have put a nice sized rock on top just incase. My cat has pulled over an eighteen pound bucket of food with his teeth. So this could be kids play.So far he doesn’t bother with it except to eat.It is easy to remove and clean the feeding dish. To clean the inside I have not checked it out as of yet. At a glance it seems the middle part might be difficult.I did get batteries for backup but as 4.5 days in, I can’t give an opinion. I am very glad there is such a thing. There is a battery metre on the front to show the life left in the batteries. Very very helpful.I have never owned an automatic feeder before so can’t compare. I would recommend trying this one. I did buy on sale and feel I have gotten my dollars worth.
