Love it! Needed to adapt mounting
This is great! I have a 2012 Equinox it’s old but still runs great. Not a good time to get a new or used car right now. My biggest problem is that my stereo head is old. Can’t use the OnStar in it since it is out dated. Used to be able to play my iPod through it and my iPod has died. Hate the radio. So buying a newer car just so I can have an updated system is just not a good enough reason for a new vehicle. I kind of stumbled on to this product. So glad I did.It was easy to set up. Just needed to disconnect the bluetooth in my car with my iPone so that the hands free would go through my speakers.Now my car dashboard is curved so the flat mount was not an option to use. I did not want to use the windshield mount (for issues that only pertain to me)). What to do? I am a bit on the redneck side so I came up with a solution. Wish they had a mount that would fit in the cup holder. Well i still have a bit of Engineering in my blood so I have come up with a solution, and please don’t laugh (or if you want to I won’t hear). I have a can of soup that fits in the cup holder. I think I will attach the windshield mount to that and problem solved. The adhesion on the windshield mount is very sticky so it would be perfect.I highly recommend this product. But I also recommend to the company to have an optional cupholder mount. This product is a game changer for me!

Works very well and adds portable Apple CarPlay to my car for a VERY good price!
I wanted Apple CarPlay so I was going to buy a head unit that fit into the A/V enclosure on my 2014 Corolla but the cheapest one I could find was around $170. I almost bit the bullet and did it but then I found THIS very convenient option. For almost 1/3 of the price and offering the same funcionality as a complete permanently installed head unit and MUCH more versatility in terms of installation location, adjustable viewing angle and EXTREMELY easy installation, this was a VERY good purchase! And, its PORTABLE so I can use it in any vehicle I choose and have CarPlay!! No complaints at all so far!!I have now been using it trouble-free, every single day since I bought it around 4 months ago and dont regret it one bit!

Great gift
I got this as a gift for my mom because the carplay in my mom’s passat stopped working due to a faulty usb. Since you have to plug in your phone to use it, it rendered her screen useless and the dealer quoted $1500 to fix it. I had just watched a video of someone installing one so I thought I’d give it a try and it was super easy to install. I’m really impressed especially for the price. My mom was really happy as she has a long commute and can now use her phone safely hands-free again. The screen is bright, responsive, and easy to navigate. Her car has a backup camera so we didn’t install the one that was included but it’s a noce extra for those that need it.

I’m very impressed with how well this works and what it can do. The screen and radio unit died in my car. The dealer said it would cost almost $3k to replace. So I thought I’d give this a try. I’m glad I did. I use it to play music and for navigation via Google maps. For the price, I think this is amazing.Now with the above in mind, some things to keep in mind: the little speakers inside this are tinny (ok for most purposes, but may want to use the aux cable and play sound thru something else), I did have some issue with screen glare (I got a glare reducing screen film sold for tablets to solve this problem), this works off your phone – so if phone is getting a good cell signal, it should work fine.

Work hard to conceal wires for a professional-like installation
I took great care in routing the wires in my SUV, taking two days, removing panels for a professional-like installation. Started at the dash so I made sure to have sufficient cable length there, and the worked my way to the fuse panel and the camera. This item cannot be directly wired to the fuse panel as it runs on 5 volts. The circuitry to drop the voltage is in the power plug. I tapped into the fuse panel with a female receptacle and simply plugged it in. This way wires are concealed. After all this the backup camera initially worked fine but then stopped working. I knew there was no problem with the wire routing so removed the tablet and, upon close inspection, determined the plug receptacle was cracked. Customer service sent a new kit to me after I explained the efforts to route the wires would make an exchange difficult. When it arrived I swapped the monitors and everything worked beautifully. The screen is bright and clear but Google Maps do not have the color rich display like my Garmin. This may be a Google issue and not the screen.

It looks and feels good, the screen mirroring is very poor but the apple carplay and android auto are functioning well, the build quality is as expected, i do recommend this product but don’t raise your expectations so high.
