600VA 360W version great for short sudden interruptions in power
I’m in an area where short but very sudden interruptions in power take place. My laptop has battery backup, but these very brief power outages tend to take down my modem and separate monitors (these are now plugged into the surge protector). And it can take several minutes for the modem to restart. I just got my first genuine test to verify the surge protector works. Three very sharp, quick but brief power outages in a time frame of one minute. I could hear the surge protector “click” in each time. The ceiling lights dropped out briefly, but my modem did not go offline. My monitors did not drop out either. This surge protector kicks in FAST. Just what I need.

Keeps the clock working
We have a water softener that has a clock when the power goes out we lose the time and the clock is in a bad spot so it makes it hard to reset it. I purchased this UPS as it was small and basic. This is more so when the power goes out the clock stays active for a short time and there is no need to reset it.

Just right for todays laptop computers
If you have had several computers over the years you know that the computers of today are more powerful but also use less energy. I still have old UPS’s that have batteries big enough to start a diesel truck. I had to disconnect the shore power the other day and the 2 MacBooks connected to the Amazon Basics UPS Battery Backup kept running as smooth as ever. The power was off for over an hour. When I reconnected the shore power you couldn’t tell it.So I guess this is a review about nothing. Boring BUT that’s the way a UPS is supposed to operate – in the background.

Might not be enough UPS for your gaming system.
Works good, just be sure not to exceed its limits. The wife and I have separate gaming system. and when we upgraded out graphics card, the alarm sounded when started to game. Trouble shooting discovered that the new video cards were the culprit as if either one of us stopped playing, the alarm silenced.

False Advertising for the “AmazonBasics, $75,000 Connected Equipment Guarantee” – What a Joke
We installed a WiFi network at my place of business and were looking for multiple UPS’s for each of our switches and WiFi Access Points. When looking for what device would work best I came across this Amazon Branded piece of equipment. The price was fair and I really like their, “Backed by an AmazonBasics limited 1-year warranty, including the battery; $75,000 connected equipment guarantee” – the last bullet in the description. This warranty is a joke. We had a power surge in our building and most of the UPS’s worked as intended, however there was 1 that did not. All the equipment connected to it was fried after the surge and no longer works. Over $900.00 of equipment was destroyed (all of which was ordered from Amazon). I just wanted a credit I could, gift card, something! I had serial numbers and images of the equipment and everything. I immediately contacted customer support and told them that I wanted to submit an issue/claim under the “Backed by an AmazonBasics limited 1-year warranty, including the battery; $75,000 connected equipment guarantee.”I had to continue to reach back out to Amazon Customer Support 3+ times, each time they told me someone would follow up with me within the next 3-5 business days on my warranty claim. I spent a total of 4-5 hours (spread out over multiple days) of my time emailing, chatting over the phone, sending pictures, chatting online and still nothing has happened. I have continually been ignored and have been given false promises of, “I will PERSONALLY call you back on (x) date to follow up with you on this issue.” Then, after no phone call or follow-up, I would email them back, only to have a different person respond and tell me to call Amazon Customer Support (which means I would start from scratch and have to tell my story all over again and go through the same steps). The continuous false promises and disregard (whether intentional or not) is beyond frustrating – especially when you buy the device because of the warranty that is promised.I am a regular user of Amazon services, but I’m very disappointed with the way this situation was handled and I feel that I have wasted my time and have been ignored multiple times. Not a product I would recommend buying.

Cheap insurance for expensive electronics
I use these to keep TVs and RPI’s going during power blips at my fire station. We have a backup generator, but the battery solves the issue of temporary interruption. I’ve had one die out of 5 or 6. The battery is expensive enough to replace that it makes more sense to buy a new one. Just put one on my new TV at home as protection from brownouts and such. Cheap insurance.

Software support: This is how you can see what the UPS is doing.
There is no display on the unit. To see the status, install PowerPanel Personal by CybePower. I know this is an Amazon Basics UPS and not a Cyberpower UPS. I tried the instructions on the listing and finally got frustrated enough to get Amazon Customer support. They told me that PowerPanel was what I wanted. I strongly suggest that Amazon add this info to the product listing.

Pretty good
One Echo Show 8, one Kasa smart bulb (60w replacement) and one Verizon FiOS router killed the battery in about one hour and eight minutes. So, I’m satisfied. The consistent beeping when it’s off shore power is annoying but probably helpful if you’re not aware of power loss. It beeps nonstop when it’s less than 10% power. But I’d say it’s pretty good for the price point and one hour is more than enough for what I deal with here.

Value for money is great and quality is excellent. After 4 months and four power failure, the ups performs flawlessly. Will purchase again.,

It seems like a solid unit. These are actually built by Cyberpower, which uses the Cyberpower Powerpanel program to connect to Windows. The courier Intelcom delivered this to the wrong house. Thankfully, amazon was able to send a 2nd one out and I didn’t have to fight with them or anything! It can be set up to turn off your pc automatically after a power outage, after it turns your pc off it will also shutdown the UPS about a minute after. Once power comes back on the UPS will automatically turn back on and if you have your PC setup accordingly in the BIOS your PC will also turn on automatically. One thing about this unit is if the battery of the UPS goes to 0% it will not turn back on automatically. But you shouldn’t be draining it to 0% anyway. However, on my UnRaid server, I could not get this functionality to work. I can get it to turn off the server but not shutdown the UPS; as a result, I would have to manually turn on the server. It recognizes the UPS; I tried built-in UPS functionality and NUTS for the server, but neither worked. It works perfect on Windows though. I get about 50 mins of runtime on my PC if idling or browsing the web.Id recommend this UPS as long as your not wanting it to shutdown and restart non-windows servers, for anything windows it works great.

Bought this one as an alternative, no high expectation to start! But, I was wrong! For the price, decent build quality, good amount plugs spots, more importantly it does the job. So far we had experienced 2 blackouts, every time this thing kicked in and did its job. It kept my internet modem+wifi+security system alive for long enough for power to be restored. (once lasted 30 min, 2nd time it was 2+ hours).Recommended for the value and piece of mind.

Just received this UPS, so this review is not about durability and longevity. I wanted to post this info as I could not find anything on this topic before purchasing so I took a chance. Long story short, the communication protocol is compatible with the APC daemon, so it is compatible with servers such as Unraid and others using the APC daemon. I would presume it will also communicate with APC made software (or any other UPS utility using the APC daemon) running on a PC in case people don’t like Amazon’s software solution (I saw some complaints on this). The UPS itself is running perfectly so far, no complaints.
