This book also explains the different radio models so you can decide which one is right for you. Also covered are the legalities and types of licenses for radio operators.Prior to reading this book, I thought you could only use these radios for talking as I knew nothing about them. (You can actually receive weather alerts from NOAA channels.) Now, I could actually carry on a conversation about them with someone. That’s how good the author is at explaining all the topics he covers, and he covers a LOT!
