I’ve owned the original Ainope phone holder for years. It’s well-made and the gravity-assisted grip is easy to use in the dark or without taking your eyes off the road – just drop it in or lift it straight up and out. I’ve found it useful and inexpensive enough that I’ve bought them for friends and family as gifts whenever possible.I really only had two complaints about the device. One was that included vent attachment was designed in such a way that it was incompatible with the round vents of my Nissan Altima – the hook was too wide to slip between the fins. I found a way around that by placing it in a less optimal location, which then led me to the other problem: while the mechanism is great at holding your device securely to the vent, your phone is, by design, directly in the path of a constant stream of hot or cold air. Normally it’s not an issue but in the winter when you’re using the heat, the phone can get HOT. Like, shutdown hot. So, you’re kind of forced to direct the air up or down at your feet.This version, with the extension arm, fixes both of these issues. The new attachment for the vent itself is now narrower and now made of metal, so I’m able to use it with the round vents in the location I prefer. Also, the phone doesn’t have to sit directly in front of the vent, so you’re not limited to where you can output your heat or air. You’re also able to arrange the phone in a more variety of positions to meet whatever your needs are for visibility or comfort of reach.Even though this version is more expensive, it’s worth the extra cost for the flexibility you get with this newer style attachment.All is not perfect, however, as the additional weight created by having the phone so far from where it attaches to the vent created a pivot point and amplifies the strain as you place and remove your device from the holder. It will require you to tighten it from time to time. So far, though, it seems to be holding up well.

Nice product
Ainope is my “go-to” for all my phone accessories. Very dependable. Always improving and updating their stuff, and it works and makes sense to me. I like how this particular one holds my phone and is able to be tightened without obstructing the airflow from my vents. Sometimes, I find that through somw bumpy terrain, it will cause the neck to slip a bit and my phone is tilted a little, but that makes sense to me, because the weight has been compromised once you add momentum to the phone…and then there’s the gravity of the situation as well. But my road trips are flawless, and so are my other smooth terrain expeditions. I was skeptical on the price, but after purchasing these a few times for my son and husband, I was like, yeah, it is worth it. I highly recommend. I am not disappointed.

Very versatile but a little shakier than expected
The versatility in mounting with the extended arm is EXCELLENT, no issues mounting on the vents either even though that was a little tough to get exactly right the first time. Locks in securely and the phone isn’t going anywhere even under hard acceleration.The only negative I can give this thing is with my iPhone 15pro with no case it still gives some movement and shake under normal driving conditions. I don’t expect perfect stability at consumer grade product levels and certainly for $20 on a vent mount, but some amount of shock absorption built in would’ve been nice, maybe a future upgraded version could add this in.I’ll be considering adding the suction mount for more stability for recording video driving in the future 😁. Overall killer product and would buy again for ease of use and easy access to the phone in the car.The versatility in view is definitely the top feature, as it was easy to find a place using several different vents that the photo was well centered. 🥂

My favorite phone holder!
I bought this thing with a little bit of skepticism after getting very frustrated with suction cup holders not staying attached to the window and magnetic car phone holders dropping my phone when I hit bumps. I’ve had it for a little over two years now and it’s still going strong. I’ve never had to reinstall it, there’s no way it can drop my phone, and using it is as easy as setting my phone down and picking it up again. I’ve recommended it many times.

Update (previous review is below). Ainope reached out to me directly. My vehicle (2020 Nissan Frontier Pro 4x) has vents that would not work with the adjustable arm version, but the small version worked. They sent me a free CD slot version because I didn’t want to block my vents. The CD version works great! Would recommend that version. 5+ stars for customer service!There are 2 phone mounts that come with this, and 1 phone holder that you attach to whichever mount you decide to use. The mount with the extendable/adjustable arm is the one I wanted to use, so it wouldn’t block the vents. It does not tighten down enough to safely use. It is loose enough, that when you put your phone in the cradle, the whole arm moves. One good bump and I could see this thing flying off. The idea is good, but it just doesn’t work with my vents.Oddly enough, the smaller mount (which looks identical in nature to the larger one) tightens down just fine, but blocks the vent. I’m currently using it for now, but am already looking for a different option.I wouldn’t recommend this one, unless you know for certain it will tightly fit your vents.

I got this because my last phone holder for my car broke and my last one was in a cup holder so I had to look down all the time to see it. This new one is fantastic and makes it so much easier, I’ve put it on the right side so that I can still see out the windshield if I need to look up fast and it makes it much easier to see and frees up one of my cup holders again!I would recommend this for most anyone if they need a phone holder that is in a good location to see it and for parts to make it easier to set up and position it properly.

I am glad that I bought this. Our vehicle does not have enough space to store or hold things in the front seats. With this, I can have immediate access to my cell phone. The arm is flexible and the hook can be extended to fit the depth of the air vent. You can tighten the knob for stability. This holds my SG Note 23 Ultra with no issues. Great buy! Would highly recommend.
