However, because the shoe is made of structured,rigid material, it way not be wide foot or bunion friendly until broken inSupport – the footbed is padded, comfortable and supportive throughout with plenty of toe spaceFit – I read several reviews and decided to go a half size down, they still fit well without being overly tight in certain areasStyle – retro but timeless, the gold detail elevates any outfit, perfect for travel because they’re lightweightCons -Stan’s great face is a little bigger than I expected, but depending on how you wear the sneakers, the tongue can be camouflaged a little with the laces

Love my Stan Smiths
I purchased a size 8 which is what I wear in women’s adidas running shoes. They still have room in the toe box and are a good fit for my narrow feet.I wore these traveling and found them to be good airport shoes (easy on and off through check points). They have some weight to them from the leather which took some getting used to. But, overall they look great and were very comfortable. I wore them with thin compression socks (to fly) and then with thin non-socks and both worked very well. I purchased the navy/white and they are stunning!

Classy and stylish
This classic never goes out of style. The fit is true to size. The tongue did squeak, but by putting baby powder on it resolved the issue immediately. There was no break in period needed. Very comfortable and lightweight.

Half size too big
I wear a size 9 in every shoe I buy irrespective of brand. These flop on my feet a bit, I needed an 8.5. Also the tongue on these sneakers is huge and squeaked really loudly when walking. Put some Vaseline on it and the squeaking stopped, but still the tongue doesn’t stay in place and slides around from side to side. Comfortable otherwise.

I have had these shoes for years and they are my go to. Even tough they are made with recycled plastic or vegan leather or whenever now, they still last a while and go with almost every outfit!

Are they Leather or Vinyl?
I was so excited when my ADIDAS STAN SMITHS arrived.! The shoes I ordered were LEATHER STAN SMITHS but I received VINYL/PLASTIC STAN SMITHS. I tried them on & realized the long flap/tongue DUG into my lower leg because it was way too long, and because, I discovered it was VINYL/PLASTIC. It didn’t give or bend as leather would. AMAZON photos of the STAN SMITHS show inconsistencies with the flap/tongue: some long & some short. It appears that STAN SMITHS are advertised VINYL/PLASTIC and some as GENUINE LEATHER! I am extremely disappointed in my purchase, especially after reading rave reviews of this particular style, STAN SMITH. ADIDAS are marketing their (cheapskate) change from LEATHER TO VINYL/PLASTIC, as a feature! (Hello FOOT FUNGUS) The AMAZON description of the shoe I ordered was “GENUINE LEATHER.” I would not have paid $80.00 for VINYL/PLASTIC! This is very sneaky, switching from LEATHER to VINYL & then advertising it as a feature! ADIDAS’ profits must have, at least, tripled with this substitution, but are they donating their extra profits to GREENPEACE? Doubtful. Why not pass the savings to the customer? I am curious about one thing; I recently read Princess Kate wears ADIDAS STAN SMITHS. Are her’s made of VINYL/PLASTIC? I don’t know for certain, but I seriously doubt it! I am giving you one star because I cannot, technically, give you no stars; but if I could, I would. BOO ADIDAS. PLEATHER, VINYL, PLASTIC is not healthy on your feet!

I ordered these to take on a trip – I knew the risk.In the construction- the tongue 👅 was sewn with the raw edge exposed and about an inch too long. Making the tongue rub uncomfortably at the front of the ankle — rather than returning them I reshaped the tongue with sewing machine and scissors! It worked!
