Very expensive for quality and size
There are a handful of problems with this item:1. The tree is really small. It is really wobbly. It is impossible for my 3 & 5 year olds to stack any of the animals on it. Partially because they barely fit in the spots and partially because the tree will not stand up, even with nobody touching it. They solved this by one of them holding on to it while the other stacked, but this is basically useless.2. The string does not have an end stopper like most Montessori lacing beads do. This means the beads fall right off, frustrating my children.3. The beads are half animals and half dinosaurs. It would make much more sense to have the theme be consistent.4. It has a strong, wood-burnt smell.5. It is very expensive, given the size and characteristics of what you receive. I would expect to pay $5ish for this set at Target or somewhere similar. It is about that quality, IMO.6. It is an unbranded box. I appreciate my Montessori items to come labeled as such. That being said, all four of my kids were excited to see it, but I do not think it will keep anyone’s attention for long as it is not built well as it should have been–the tree certainly needed to be thicker.
