What a great way to keep the toilet seat comfortable without a chill! I bought this for my aging mother who has dementia and was getting reluctant to sitting on the cold seat, now there’s no dread and she is compliant.I took a set home for myself to sample and found myself not dreading a cold seat.Easy to install, it does have a soft velvety surface.

Better than no seat cover
I purchased this item hoping it would help with “cold winter seat syndrome.” The covers work well. Relatively easy to remove the film that protects the “sticky” side. (It’s not an adhesive, more like non-slip). And it does provide a barrier between me and the seat, which was the intent. However, do not expect the seat to be “warm.” It’s just not as cold. And when the temperature drops, that’s a help.

Pleasantly Surprised – Bedridden / Bariatric people you need to read this
For starters I just wanna say the shipping was super fast but a tad embarrassing. They are in a vacuum packed clear package with a mailing label. No envelope, bag, box, just a very large clear vacuum sealed laid out layered side by side so you can see all the colors and exactly what the product is. Better for the environment but definitely lacking in privacy. Maybe don’t use clear vacuum seal bags, use opaque guys… Talk about embarrassed looks with delivery guys. Little more consideration seller… Just sayin.Now to the product itself. Its thinner than I had thought for some reason but I was a bit confused at first because they’re stuck back to back looking like 1 piece but it’s actually both sides. You peel them apart and they attach to the seat kind of like window cling decorations at the holidays. No tape, no glue, no goo. Just position it, press down so it’s smooth and it stays. If ya need to move it ya can, just pull it up and repeat. Make sure the seat is freshly cleaned and completely dry first. I would recommend wiping it off with an alcohol pad and letting it air dry so there’s no residue so they stick better.That left me a little leary about it maybe coming off and ending up in the bowl as i sat down or stood up. I was actually kinda a nervous wreck the first few times. Much to my surprise it stayed put. They can twist and shift a little if you slide or twist to reach for something behind you but still didn’t come loose and fall in. I do recommend rolling them slightly over the outside edge of the seat though because that seems to help keep that from happening and it also keeps your skin from sticking to the original seat where the cover ends.I’m bedridden a large part of the time from a spinal cord injury. I have occasional bedsores on the backs of my legs and have difficulty sliding on and off the seat which would pull them open and was unbearably painful. It felt like more of me stayed on the seat than went back to the bed. The doctors and home nurses suggested baby powder which makes an awful mess, Bandages rolled and stuck to the seat so it lifted as I would get up and to get free ya had to just hold your breath and pull free… and we all know how painful yanking a bandaid off delicate skin can be. What a joy, right? I stumbled across a genius idea one day that worked for the most part… Silicon based adult playtime lube. Worked great but ya had to have enough notice to put a little on a tissue to wipe on the seat each time… Which i didn’t always get enough notice to do. If ya do it in advance then guests that aren’t expecting to slide around as they sit and have a slick rear get a little weirded out. Not any more than my elderly father was having been asked to purchase a bottle of silicon s e x lube for his crippled adult daughter’s toilet though. Lol. When you’re desperate and in pain ya gotta just roll with the weird fixes sometimes cuz if they work that’s all that matters. The nurses laughed themselves sick, loved the result of the healing and agreed it worked well as a skin barrier for places the standard barrier film would stick and roll like this though. They’re even trying to get their boss to consider it as an alternative to the sticky barrier film for open wounds.These and a disinfectant spray after each use and changing/laundering them in a regular basis actually works well enough that those issues are pretty much in the past.Thank you so much. Now would you please make a size of them for the elongated medical toilet seats tooso it covers along the outside edges with enough to wrap down the side? Then they’d be perfect. As they are right now I’ve gotta put them on an odd angle to cover where needed and it leaves a little still to stick to my legs and ya can’t layer them to cover the rest so .. little help for the future maybe???

They do not stick to the toilet!
They did not stick to the toilet after removing the clear cover of the sticky area and fell into the toilet when getting up.

They keep your seat nice and warm!
having central heat does not mean your toilet seat is going to be warm when it is 0 outside, nor 50. My daughter bought me my first set cause she knew how great these are. The texture of the cover is nice and warm, I love the felty feel. Not sure they are reusable. I haven’t tried to wash, just got the 8 pairs
