Use on stranded wires
I used these ferrules when connecting stranded wires in a clamp-down (screw-down) connector. Those connectors work great for solid wire, but stranded wire often has the individual strands spreading out when clamped. I used to tin the ends of the wire with solder, to keep them from spreading in the connectors; now I just crimp on one of these ferrules. It’s quicker and easier. I ordered the ones to fit AWG10 and AWG12 wires, as I use those sizes most often.
