Versatile phone holder
I ordered this unit because it had more than one way to mount the phone – mount to vertical or horizontal slats in air vents or mount using suction cup. My car has vertical slats in the center air vents, and only the horizontal vent by the window on the driver’s side has enough room to mount the phone. It does seem to be sturdily mounted and will be useful for navigation as needed – easy to install and easy to remove. I then tried the suction cup mount in the center of my dashboard. I cleaned everything thoroughly as suggested in the instructions. The suction cup has some stickiness to the soft plastic as well, so it stuck quite well when I mounted the phone. It stuck so well that when I went to remove the mount, because of the stickiness it was difficult to remove from the relatively smooth surface! I think it would be easier to remove from the typical rougher dashboard surface. Fortunately, nothing broke and it didn’t leave any residue, but I decided, since I don’t plan to leave the phone holder in the car all the time, I will just use the vent holder for now. Overall, I am happy with my purchase.
