Good item well designed for its likely purpose
This maker was trying to put a sponge on a handle, no easy task considering the softness of the sponge and the likely hardness of any handle, but I think they did a pretty good job of it. Try it at home and see how hard it is. Some of the reviewers mentioned feeling a hardness inside the sponge; I didn’t but I can see why it may be there. (If you’re trying to make this, you can stick a handle inside a sponge and try to fasten it in there (good luck) or you can insert a module of some sort inside the sponge and then attach the handle to it, which is what they probably did – then when you put pressure on the handle and it acts like a lever inside the sponge it comes up against the harder module which is less likely, because of its greater surface area vs. the handle, to tear the sponge. The handle is somewhat flimsy, but again perhaps the design of an item like this required it. As you put pressure on the handle it becomes a lever pressing against where it’s secured within the sponge assembly. If the handle were more substantial (and therefore more rigid) it would transmit the full amount of the levering force to the point where it’s secured increasing the risk of failure of the bond between it and the sponge or sponge module (depending on how it’s attrached). A flexible handle dissipates some of that force in bending the handleI think this item is fine given the limitations of designing something like this. If you want to scrub your body buy a wooden handled bath brush – available at most U.S. drug stores. I see this brush as something you use to get to those hidden, hard to reach tender bits which is why one buys it instead of using the back brush, so the flexibility and softness of the sponge are just what you’re looking for, and should not be a reason for criticism.

Works Great!
Works great after back surgery (no bending, lifting, twisting for 4 weeks).

Works OK compared to other types
The sponge works great and the long stick allows me to easily wash elderly clients. The only thing I don’t like is that the plastic handle is made of a flimsy plastic and bends very easy. After a few months of use, the plastic stick ended up coming through the side and then was no longer usable. I prefer this type of sponge on a stick over other types I’ve tried. It works better than others on the market.

The price is good but not sturdy.
I bought another one because the first one broke. It didn’t last long.

Dollar store quality
Junk. Into the garbage it went. Knew this upon opening the package & should have returned it. It’s a sponge on a low quality, very flimsy plastic stick. Any pressure & it will snap. This could most likely be purchased at a dollar store for much less!

When the product will be delivered
I like how handy and useful the shower sponge is. I use it to clean the hard to reach areas on my back.

this long handled sponge really helps me when I wash up now

This sponge works well in the shower to help wash my lower body since I can’t bent over in initial weeks post hip replacement. The sponge is soft, stays in place, suds up nicely and you just can just rinse it off to clean it.

the stick is a bit long but then again at least you can reach everywhere! its perfect, because of the sponge its not floppy like the other kids out there, so your soap stays in that general area. Sponge is fairly soft so not too firm and scratchy but enough to do a full clean 🙂

This was for use for a person who had a hip replacement.Very helpful for hard to reach areas.

Needed to have something to help me in the shower after hip surgery. It’s ok but I wish the handle was a little less flexible.
