Great tools for a healing hip
My hubby used this kit after hip replacement surgery. The sock assist tool is super-handy, as putting a sock on the surgery leg was impossible, but the tool made it a breeze. The extended shoe horn was a great bonus because it isn’t as curved as a typical shoe horn, which makes it easier to use. I’ve stolen the reachers/grabbers for my use because they are much better made than the ones I had purchased earlier. Overall, it’s a great kit.

For anything that impacts mobility, mine back surgery. The items are all useful and well made, also quite necessary. Appreciate being collected as a set, my only wish would have been being told about this before rather than after surgery

Great for Use After Knee Replacement Surgery
I had knee replacement surgery in September. I really didn’t know what to expect but I bought this kit after the surgeon’s office recommended I have one. They didn’t recommend this particular one (they did not specify any specific brand) but it had such high reviews that I thought it would be a good choice. Truth be told I really didn’t think I’d use a good deal of it but it’s better to have it and not need it than need it and not have it. Right from the start I found the grabbers to be super useful. They’ve got a good grip so they rarely dropped items. I found them very useful for grabbing my pants and bunching the leg up to slide them on as well as grabbing my shoe and angling it so I could slip my foot in easier. I know it came with a dressing stick and shoe horn but I really preferred the grabbers instead. I used the shoe horn twice but it really didn’t help as much as the grabber for me (I was able to angle the shoe as well as hold the back so I could slip my foot in without crushing the back). I didn’t use the dressing stick really at all. Aside from the two handy grabbers, I got a lot of use out of the leg mover. I really thought that out of all of the items I would use that one the least if at all. Boy was I wrong! About 2 days post surgery my quad absolutely quit on me. It was very bruised and strained by the surgery (a result of the tourniquet I’m told) and it just got to the point where it couldn’t move well. The leg mover really helped with that. I also had a lot of pain in my knee trying to get up off of the bed and the leg mover supported the knee when I swung it off of the bed to lessen the pain. The quality seems very good and sturdy. I’ve moved past needing the leg mover but I’m still using the longer grabber. I have a second knee replacement in my near future and am confident that this set will hold up to use a second time. I highly recommend this set for anyone having a knee replacement surgery.

Some Items More Useful Than Others
After a hip replacement I found the dressing stick, the sock tool, and the leg lifter very useful. While it’s a bit flimsy, I also use the sponge in the shower to wash the places I’m not flexible enough to reach yet. I used one of the the grabber tools only once. And if you wear comfortable slip shoes, the shoe horn may sit idle.

Perfect Hip Kit
This kit came with a longer loofah and two grabbers which is what I wanted. The short grabber is extremely practical while lying in bed. I like the dressing tool and the long shoe horn which has a small hook at the tip of the handle. The sock aids work like they are supposed to. I could care less about the fact this kit does not have a back scratcher. Anything can be used to scratch your back. The leg lifter has the metal internal reinforcement to keep it at whatever angle you choose. I am on day 8 of hip replacement recovery and I fully recommend this kit!

Invaluable for post-op recovery
All pieces are very helpful. So simple putting on socks. Love the two different length grabber-reachers; one never leaves my side as it remains in position across my walker during post-op recovery. Double-sided dressing hook is great also for maneuvering the dishwasher door and drawers. I can’t say enough, each item has made my post-op so much easier, especially for those living alone.

I laughed at myself when I purchased this thinking have I just wasted my money.Absolutely not!This kit is a must have after knee surgery. I am non weight bearing in a straight leg brace so all items have helped and made life easier to get around & be able to do things on my own. Without these I would need to rely on other people for a lot more help.
