Good sized bottles; leaves my hair soft and shiny
Unlike other bottles of hair re-growth shampoo with similar ingredients, there is enough actual product in this bottle to last a few weeks with the length of my hair (middle of my back, and I wash my hair 3-6x a week). I’m in my mid-50s and about 9 months ago I started experiencing hair loss/shedding that I’ve been told is a symptom of menopause. It freaked me out, because I’ve always had long and fairly thick hair. I’ve been using products with sawgrass in them, and biotin, and caffeine, which really do seem to help, but the brand I usually get was recently out of stock in every store I went to (in person and online). So I tried this brand in a pinch since the ingredients were very similar. I appreciate that these bottles are much larger. I just started using this brand a few weeks ago so it’s too early to say if they will have the same long term effect my previous brand did, but so far, this shampoo and conditioner seem like they’re doing a good job, and bonus: they leave my hair even softer and shinier than the previous brand I used. The only thing I don’t like is that it smells like Lemon Pledge (the furniture wax). But to be fair, so does every other like product I’ve tried, including the one I was using previously (doesn’t matter the brand). Perhaps it’s because of the ingredients? If they made a lavender or peppermint or patchouli or typical shampoo fragrance, I’d be really sold on it, even if I didn’t need it for re-growth and just used it as a nourishing shampoo. I can deal the lemon scent since I have to, but it’s definitely not a personal favorite.

I am so glad I bought this shampoo and conditioner!
I bought this because i have been experiencing hair loss. I used this shampoo and and conditioner for the first time the other day and my hair looks alot more full and volumized. Now you can’t tell I’ve had hair loss and you can barely see my scalp at all which is amazing! I can’t speak on the hair growth because I’ve only used this product once. I would definitely say it’s worth the money if your thinking about trying it! Also I did notice i wasn’t losing as much hair as before while brushing. I did use oil as a pre-shampoo before I showered. I used mielle rosemary oil on my scalp and i used African price miracle moisturizer throughout the length of my hair. I kept my hair in a bun for 3 hours before I got in the shower. In the past when I’ve done oil treatments in my hair any other shampoo and conditioner didn’t seem to get out all the oil and my hair was weighted down and no volume. But this shampoo and conditioner definitely made a huge difference! I Highly recommend you give it a try! I will continue to buy this product!

The shampoo is great, I started using this 10 years ago. I have a scalp sensitivity to some ingredient in mainstream shampoos and conditioners. This is just better.It takes some getting used to, and will take your hair about a month to adjust. The shampoo does not lather well in your hair due to more natural ingredients. I lather in my hands, and then apply it. I use 1 pump per wash, my hair is thick and goes just past my shoulders.I stopped using the conditioner, it’s too much for my hair. I don’t know if the recipe changed in the last few years, but it’s too thick and I have a lot of trouble getting the excess out…and I use less than 1 pump.

Noticeably reduced the amount of shedding hair
This review is for the shampoo only. I bought the set, but I have not used the conditioner. I started noticing excessive shedding about 6 months ago. I believe I lost nearly half my hair over a few months. No bald spots, but my loss in overall hair density was very noticeable. I started using this shampoo in November and by January I could see I was losing so much less hair. Previously when I finished washing my hair it would look like a full hairpiece was lying on the drain. That’s how much I was losing every wash day. Now there’s a normal amount of hair on the drain. I’m very happy with the progress. I use this shampoo 2x per week and leave it on for about 2 minutes each time. It’s not very clarifying, so I do a first wash with a more clarifying shampoo and wash a second time with this anti-thinning shampoo, then follow with my normal conditioner. For reference I have oily-ish hair and wash it 3x per week. It does seem to leave buildup, so once per week I do a fully clarifying shampoo and don’t use this product. I don’t know the cause of my hair thinning (working with my doctor on that), but if you’re also suffering I recommend you give this product a try. I’ve used less than one bottle so far and it seems to be making a noticeable difference in the amount of hair I shed on a daily basis.

Keeps the flakes away
I have a hard time finding a shampoo and conditioner that works and does not have bad ingredients. This one is Yuka approved, and keeps flakes away without harmful ingredients. My hair feels very soft and clean, so does my scalp. I like the scent of both, this combo is great. I have less hair loss with this shampoo. I think it’s worth the cost because of how well it works, and I only shampoo once a week. Still no flakes by the time wash day comes around.

I bought it to prevent hair loss and regrow hair but it ended up clearing up my dry scalp right after the first wash. I started losing an unusual amount of hair after using head and shoulders for a few weeks. It fixed my dry scalp but made my hair fall out. When I stopped using it the dry scalp came back and the hair kept falling like crazy. I haven’t noticed a difference in regrowth yet but this product along with a good haircut has decreased my shedding by 75% so far. It’s been about a month. Smells great. I only wish it were a little less expensive.
