Very nice quality – but cool, not cold
Case is very nice – good quality materials and construction. The exterior is a satiny matte finish and the purple color is bright without being obnoxious. The zipper is a bit tight around the corners but feels like it will break in with just a little usage. The thermometer is accurate compared to my fridge thermometer.To test for my needs, I froze one ice pack overnight and placed it in the right side of the case with empty med pens, supplies, etc. on the left side. In my office, it took about 90 minutes for the temp to decrease from 78 to 55. It stayed at 55 for about 2 hours. The exterior of the case behind the ice pack was notably cold to the touch.Over the next 3 hours, the temp gradually climbed up to 70. The gel pack was still about half frozen and there was some condensation on the pack and the foil lining, but it was not drippy. Another hour took it to 73. At this point, the pack was completely melted. Condensation was the same, maybe a little less. Seven to eight hours is all I need, so I stopped testing at that point.My notes for next time:- prep the case with an ice pack for an hour, then switch to the other frozen pack when loading with meds- fold a thin washcloth under the ice pack to help absorb condensation and provide more insulation to keep the cold inMy medication just needs to stay cool/room temperature, so I’m very happy with my purchase. If your meds need longer time or colder temp, using both ice packs would definitely improve the performance, especially if you sandwich it between them. However, I’m skeptical that you’d achieve 40-45 degrees for 8 hours. And this definitely isn’t the right case if you want to keep meds cool in a hot car or on the beach.

Reliable, excellent for travel, cools extremely well
I’ve used this on 2 plane trips and it’s very reliable. It clearly shows the temp at all times, and has room for meds, syringes and alcohol wipes. Nice hard case. Impressive value.

Wouldn’t buy again
I didn’t like the fact that when the ice packs are frozen, you put your insulin, pens, teststrips, and other needed things into the case, it very tight and I was afraid it would break my bottle of insulin.Another problem was the ice packs didn’t last no longer than maybe 3 hours, and the outside and inside of the case had so much condensation that it was dripping and my alcohol pads got wet.I wouldn’t advise this one.

Unit to keep meds cool for travel
I have tested the unit and after trial use it’s as described. I like that it has 2 gel pads that should last longer and therefore keep the meds cool longer. I haven’t used it yet but am getting ready to use it on a trip. Will know more after that.
