Proper REAL ‘older style’ UPS with real 1200 Watt power. Proper engineering.
OPTI-UPS TS2000E 2000va / 1200 Watts is so good I bought two more so far.NO HOLD BUTTON DOWN long time safety nonsense to cold re-start like other 2024 brandsNO requirement for AC power to start and use battery inside, Its like a portable ‘power generator’. Rare feature.NO idiotic little LCD panel of 10 cryptic symbols, just three colored lights, plus flashing. Other models are hell. This one : GREEN means “working fine”THIS runs until battery depleted, not just 50%, like competing brands that all have incorrect battery sensors. Warning beeps speed up when near depletion. HOURS of electricity if on a tiny load.NO consumer home FCC legal nonsense crippling the engineering. This is CLASS C commercial grade, mission critical power.2 to 6ms fast swap from AC to battery= = = = = = =I hate 5 other fancier brands that all are engineered by morons. Literal morons. This is a REAL UPS that works.= = = =BAD:Buy these and “update” the batteries every 3 years, for life. This might be the last properly designed UPS left on Earth. Batteries allegedly are topped off too often, shortening life to 3 years vs 5.5 years in others. This 1200W Fan louder than some other +1100W brand fansMissing a “shutup alarm button, but some brands shutup buttons FAIL TO SHUT UP alerts, so I love this simple color code light for mild alerts.= = = = = =BEST UPS I EVER OWNED, and cheapest per Watt and battery

It’s ugly, but it WORKS!
I live just north of Houston, TX, and the weather has been pretty violent, causing massive power outages all over the southeastern part of Texas. My old UPS stopped working, and because of limited funds, I didn’t buy another one. A quick “double-surge spike” corrupted my “boot up” software, so that I had to stop the computer during boot up to select the proper drive for the OS. That taught me a valuable lesson that I already knew, DON’T OPERATE A COMPUTER WITHOUT A UPS to protect it. This one doesn’t have a fancy voltage display, and is rather big and ugly, but it works great. No computer problems since buying and installing it.

Spend the extra on a quality brand
All I get is constant AC Failure and AC Recovered warnings, constant alarms beeps going off randomly because of it, and then it will just randomly kill power to everything plugged in to it, no warning or error or anything. So as a UPS….it’s useless.

Pretty good for the price
Computer program is great for tracking usage, including trend graphs. Issues are there is no tracking for input cycle, only output. And there is no password included for the software to personalize it.

Lasts about 3 years, then need to replace the battery
Lasts about 3 years, then need to replace the battery. That is probably standard for small UPSs. Great price point.

Poor design and performance
First, this Company touts how this unit has User-replaceable batteries, yet they don’t have the courage to tell you have difficult it is to replace them. This Design is the type where you remove the screws from the bottom of the unit and the top lifts off. This is a POOR design if this unit is any where other than conveniently located on a desktop and easy to get to. Unlike the competitors which have the Front Panel pop off and the batteries conveniently slide right out, and be sure you have a long Philips screw driver to get to those screws on the bottom.Second, I tested this unit with a 200 watt load (200w Incandescent Bulb) after fully charging the unit. To my surprise this UPS only ran for 30 minutes exactly on Battery with only 1 minute of Low Battery warning before turning off. A 900 watt UPS I tested earlier lasted at least 39 minutes with the same load and please don’t tell me that I could have extended that time in the Software. I do NOT install software for UPS units. UPS units have always come set by default to run as long as possible and then shut off when the battery is at 5% or less. I should not have to install software to get that kind of performance.Third, I found it very interesting how this product is NON-Returnable on Amazon. I was so disgusted by the product, I wanted to return it and get my money back.Overall, this unit is NOT was I expected from a UPS and I don’t recommend it. I will be going back to the tried and true TrippLite Models that have EASY battery access and give it their all with out the need of Software.

Works Well, Very Quiet
Where does Amazon come up with questions like wifi signal and sleep mode for a UPS. Obviously none of those features. Does come with some pretty slick software to monitor the UPS through a serial port, it’s very quiet, and me kicking on my 1150 watt power supply HP twin Xeon workstation with 17 fans, RAID 5 backing up a second RAID 5, and 512 G of RAM doesn’t make it flinch. It wiped out the 1500VA APC every time I tried to power it on. I may miss the displays a bit, it’s a very basic unit, but it absolutely has the power it claims to have. I had a small issue with the UPS delivery and the business owner got right on it. Will be buying a couple more from the same vendor.

Works great. I am using this for my 55 gallon aquarium. It is small in size which is great. My backpack pump didnt work so well on this when it was on battery, as that motor is a magnetic drive type motor. However I tested it on a few others and currently I have the battery power 2 powerheads, Led lighting, and a small backpack filter. I think I am consuming 50 watts of power. Should last me quite a while.Totally not what it was intended for, but it works for me.Only complaint: The software does not allow you to disable the audible alarm. I may just open the darn thing up and cover or possibly remove the alarm off the motherboard. However, the alarm itself it not terribly loud.
