Cascadia – A wildly good time for two!
Picked this up for game nights with my wife, and it’s quickly become a favorite. Beautiful art, simple to learn, and surprisingly strategic. It plays great with two players—tons of fun balancing habitat tiles and animals (I’m almost the alpha elk around here, but my wife still wins most games). Easy enough to enjoy after a long day, but clever enough to keep us coming back. If you’re looking for quality time with a partner and a little friendly competition, Cascadia delivers. Bonus points for feeling peaceful even when you’re this close to victory.

    Great game
This game is excellent, relaxing and visually beautiful. The game mechanics are great and although it may not seem like it, you have to think a bit. You won’t get bored easily, it has severe ways to start and different ways to score points.

The best “gateway” strategy game since Splendor, fantastic for families with kids as young as 8
I tend to lean toward the “heavier” side of strategy games, things like Everdell, Terra Mystica, Castles of Burgundy, and Voyages of Marco Polo. However, sometimes you just want a fun, easy to play game that has just enough strategy to keep you interested, without jarring the sensibilities of the less “hardcore” players. In the past, Splendor was my go-to game of this kind, but I am ecstatic to add Cascadia into the mix. It’s a fantastic blend of fast, easy to learn playability, with just enough strategy to keep things interesting. The core strategies are simple — form an arrangement of animals in a pattern to score points, while attempting to match (as best as possible) the terrain types to maximize bonus scoring. The minor mechanic that lets you alter the basic tile/animal selection (the pine cone “bonus” tiles) is just perfect for adding a little bit more strategy without radically altering the core. Our family loves it. My 9 and 11 year-olds enjoy the theme with the wildlife and animals, and the overall strategy is clear to them (even if they are still learning the nuances). The parts are well made; the terrain tiles and animal tokens are a nice, thick cardstock. The bag, box, and storage are compact and easy to manage.I suspect over time this will be a game ripe for expansions, as I can see perhaps after 25+ plays that you might want more variety in animals, terrain, and scoring options. But even out of the box you’re getting a fantastic game at a very good price, one that’s absolutely worth having in your collection.

    Great Game! Very laid back
This is a really good gateway game. If you’re looking to get into the hobby this game will suit your needs. Not overly complicated and very addictive. This is a go to for us when we want to play something quick. Usually plays in about 20 minutes with 2 of us.

Beautiful, Relaxing, and Surprisingly Deep Gameplay
I bought this game based on the artwork and overall vibe after seeing it on a list of relatively chill board games that you can play both alone and with other people. Playing it is a very calming experience for me so far, and I think the gorgeous and colorful visuals creating a bird’s eye view landscape help a lot with that. But I was surprised by how meaty the gameplay is at the same time. The game strikes a very artful balance between being compelling and engaging enough that you want to keep playing just to play around with different strategies or combinations of the tokens/cards/tiles, but it’s also mellow enough thematically that it’s hard to become overly competitive. It feels sort of like playing an episode of planet earth. I’ve played a bunch of times now with anywhere from 1-3 other friends and we always end up playing more rounds than we originally planned to. Highly recommend! I’m excited to pick up the expansion eventually and see what that adds to the mix.

Great game. It feels a little like a nature hike.
Playing this game feels like a relaxing walk in the woods, but it also has many angles of strategy and game play diversity. It plays well with a small group or with just two players.

    Great game
Great game for those who love tiles’ games. Different levels in one game, depth of thinking but a family game, great design

Great puzzley game for game nights or family nights
Cascadia is such a fun and relaxing game! You’re basically building little ecosystems with tiles and matching animal tokens, and the artwork is super pretty. It’s really easy to pick up and play, but there’s enough strategy to keep things interesting. I love how each game feels fresh because of the different ways to score points. It’s perfect for families or just casual game nights. If you like nature or puzzle games, definitely give it a try!

Pros: Easy to learn, enjoyable to play, great animal/nature theme, visually impressive, replayability is excellent due to the card scoring elements and it’s great to play on your own or with friends.Cons: You’re only given 5 starter packs. So if you want to play with more than 5 people then you need to buy the game again, or buy the Landmarks expansion.

I bought this for my mum, and it is now one of her favourite games. It is easy to set up and play, with added challenges due to the different animal goal cards. The game is fairly simple to understand, too. However, personally, I find it to be relatively expensive for what it is, so I would recommend waiting for a discount.

Il n’y a pas besoin de langue particulière. En anglais le jeu reste le même, il n’y a pas besoin de français pour jouer.Très bon jeu
