I’m a vegetarian. I try to eat only whole, organic foods, exercise daily, get enough sleep, and stay hydrated. I get adequate protein, fiber, and I take the supplements my blood tests show me I need. However, even with all that, I found I was getting tired easily, suffering from minor, diffuse hair shedding, and overall lethargy and lack of motivation, even for the things I love to do, like gardening, reading, and, especially, singing.I have blueberries and raspberries on my oatmeal every morning, almond butter on my whole grain toast, and a small glass of orange juice. I’ll often have a smoothie for lunch, and a large garden salad for dinner. If I want a snack, I usually choose a banana, some strawberries, or grapes. I don’t drink a lot of juice because of the high sugar content. Still, I just didn’t feel I was getting enough fruits, vegetables, seeds, and nuts. I don’t eat much at a time; I can’t. I’m a very small person at 5’0″ and 100 pounds. So, I went looking for a supplement, and the reviews and information provided about Feel Great 365 Superfood Greens made me decide to try it.I’ve used other green powders in the past, and the biggest problem with them has always been the taste. Ugh! I love greens, but most of the green powders I’ve tried tasted like mildly flavored chalk. And the consistency was awful as well. This was different. While I can’t say it’s the tastiest thing I’ve ever had to eat or drink, it’s actually pretty good. I usually mix mine in plain water first thing in the morning and just drink it down, though I sometimes add it to smoothies or plain low fat yogurt. I feel good knowing I’ve gotten my daily serving of fruits and vegetables as well as vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, prebiotics, and probiotics. I love the fact that this power is organic and gluten free and manufactured in the USA. I don’t think I’d use any powder that wasn’t manufactured in the US.I slept enough before using this powder, but since I’ve been using it (about a month now), I feel my sleep is better quality sleep. I definitely feel more rested when I wake. I don’t get that midday slump any longer, but I also don’t have a spurt of nervous energy like one might get from caffeine. I hate that, and it’s not good for us. (I take a B12 tablet daily, but I don’t take iron unless my doctor recommends it. Excess iron can really cause serious health problems.)I’ve never been one to be ill or have digestive problems, but I just feel better about my immune system knowing I have all the necessary servings of organic fruits and vegetables in my system. (I also take a multivitamin, a zinc tablet, Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C, and Mary Ruth’s Elderberry.)My skin and hair, which have always been very good except for the minor shedding it recently went through (that has now stopped) now look better than ever. I’ve been taking papaya juice along with this powder, and my skin is brighter than it’s ever been, my hair glossier.I also love the fact that the company left out several things that would have made this powder unable to be used by a great many persons, like tumeric, for example. I know it’s a good anti-inflammatory, but those of us who already take an anti-inflammatory or blood thinner are not supposed to consume anything with tumeric in it. And I avoid licorice root like the proverbial plague. It affects my heart and gives me attacks of low potassium and tachycardia that could be very dangerous. (Watch out for this ingredient in many skin care products and shampoos.)I admit, I was quite skeptical when I began using this product. I really didn’t think I’d notice much of a difference at all. To my delight, I was really surprised. The first two weeks alone convinced me that this is the product I should be using. I will keep using this brand of superfood greens as long as the company makes it.Highly recommended to those who want to feel better, look younger, and live longer.

If you’re new to supplements, there are a few things to be aware of before you take the plunge.Packaging: Supplements rarely come in the correct size container. Typically, they are twice the size vs. the amount of product you are receiving. This product is no exception. The size of the container is of absolutely no importance. Getting the advertised amount of product is.Taste: A good supplement uses very little if any sugars or artificial sweeteners. Therefore, the tastes are often bland, sour, bitter, strong or totally strange tasting. In other words, the more pure, organic and natural a supplement is, the worse it’s probably going to taste. So, if your looking for a McDonalds Milk Shake type of taste, supplements may not be for you.Mixing: Some supplements mix better than others. However, mixing with a spoon or shaking usually dissolves no better than 80% of the product leaving undissolved chunks in the mix. Those usually don’t taste very good. Regardless of how well a supplement claims to dissolve, a blender is truly the best way to get a very fine mix.This particular supplement is incredible. There are over two dozen types of berries and greens extracted and condensed into a mere 300 grams of powder. Like opening a can of coffee, you can smell the aroma on this the moment you pulled open the safety seal. And believe me, the taste is equally as over-powering! I mixed this with 8-oz of water (according the directions) and was totally bowled over by the super-strong, unsweetened taste. Wow!If you’re going to continue to use water, you may want to consider diluting it more. Instead of the 8-oz suggested serving amount, try going to 10 or even 12 ounces. I think the more water you use, the easier it will be to stomach. If you like it a little sweeter, mix in some honeyHowever, I found that milk really smooths out the flavor. The best I got was mixing this with 12-oz of milk and a scoop of vanilla whey protein. Very, very good. Again, my blender makes this into a really smooth drink with about a 99% dissolve rate. The only thing that was left is what appears to be very tiny fruit seeds at the bottom.
