This transfer belt is well made. They take a bit of getting used to. I was a caregiver for my frail 91 year old MIL. She was unable to move out of bed so I used this transfer belt to lift her safer. It works great for that! I would recommend to new users like I was originally to place the belt very carefully on the patient. My MIL almost slipped out of it once when I was lifting her from off her bed and she almost squirted out of it because me bent her body at the waist while I was lifting her. Overall this was an accentual part of moving her safely around without injuries. I used to wrap my arms around her to lift her from her bed but found out it hurt her ribs that way (not to mention having to be face to face while lifting the old way) so we purchased this belt which worked great for her & me! It’s a keeper!

My dad began having trouble getting back up if sat somewhere low, like the the tub, front steps, floor. We slid this under his bum, and told him to stand as two of us held the handles and lifted and it was like lifting 50 pounds instead of 250. Definitely saved our lower backs. Would absolutely buy again…except I don’t need to because it’s still in perfect condition after many uses, stitching is very durable.

Have bought several different pieces of equipment to help move father in bed. Husband can’t use the slide sheet very well due to arthritis in his hands. This under Dad’s derrière and an arm linked through it with a guiding hand under his armpit makes quick work of sliding him up the bed. No strain on hands & a lot less on our backs.
