Great Watch
There is just something so satisfying about this watch, I totally love it. The dimensions are perfect. It’s the perfect combo of cheesy retro, low cost minimalist, while also somehow being classy and appropriate for any outfit and situation. It is very light and comfortable. The band is really thin and surprisingly nice quality. I have very hairy arms and was a little concerned with the band pulling hairs — it does a little bit, but not too much, not enough for it to be an issue. For $20 on black Friday, It costs about as much as a meal at Chipotle… insane value.One minor drawback if I had to list one is that the display isn’t fully legible at every angle. Again, not enough to really be an issue. You can still read the time but depending on the angle the numbers may not be as sharp.Overall, unbeatable value and price to enjoyment/satisfaction ratio.

That’s right! I’m rockin this bad boy and I’m proud of it! Growing up in the 90’s, Casio watches were everywhere. In fact they still are today but I highly doubt you’ll bump into someone wearing this old school timepiece. However, if you’re a watch lover, you already know that a timepiece shouldn’t be ignored just because it’s “old”. If you see something you like, you go for it, simple as that. For just $17, I can definitely say that without batting an eye.For the price, you’re obviously getting a no frills watch. However, don’t let that fool you. If you’re looking for a watch that emits a loud audio beep for the alarm function, this watch has one of the loudest beep tone I’ve heard on a digital watch bar none. This is great if you rely on the hourly signal indicator or just the alarm in general. Trust me, it’s loud.I also love the fact that it displays the day as well as the date. It’s not really that I need that capability but I just love it due to the fact that it makes the watch more “busy” looking with all the numbers and whatnot! For this fact alone, I usually enable 24 hour mode simply because it gets to “display” more numbers on the screen and yes, this watch can do 24 hour mode.Other than that, it has your standard alarm function and basic stopwatch. Because it’s a Casio, expect some bright luminescence when you press the light button. Because this is not a solar watch, using the light function too much will obviously drain the battery more than usual.Construction wise, yes, make no mistake about it. The watch band feels dirt cheap. However, what I love about it though is that it is extremely easy for you to customize the strap to fit your wrist by simply unhooking a little tab and sliding the buckle up or down and then clasping it back in place. No link removal is necessary! The extra links simply tuck under the main links that go over it. It’s a pretty darn brilliant design and I’m surprised not many other watches use this method. Also, the watch is very, very lightweight.For so little money, you’re actually getting a lot in return. I love the retro look and I’m guessing you are too otherwise you wouldn’t even have considered reading the review. It’s definitely something special and sets you a bit apart from the crowd if that’s what you’re going for. Me personally, I’m also glad that I own this timepiece that got so much love during my generation growing up. Long live Casio.

The watch is absolutely original and came in a perfect state.However, the only minor issue I noticed is that the battery was somewhat drained upon arrival. This seems to indicate that the watch may have been sitting in the warehouse for an extended period. While it’s not a dealbreaker, it’s something to consider if you’re expecting a fresh battery right out of the box.That said, once the battery is replaced, the watch works flawlessly and looks fantastic. If you’re looking for an authentic Casio watch with excellent design and functionality, this is a great choice. Just be prepared to replace the battery if needed!
