I had this same shoe care kit 5-6 years ago. Happy to report that this is as good as the old one.The brush is pretty durable, and it stands up to casual use. I’m not a huge fan of the foam applicators and would probably prefer something easier to handle like a brush, but at this price point you can’t have it all, and frankly they work just fine for my purposes. The bag is a great feature. It keeps everything in one compact place and I don’t have to worry about wax getting on anything.Definitely recommended to the casual shoe-shiner, especially for $13… which is what I would pay for a single shoe shine in my office building.

I always find shoe care products hard to come by, I often find myself meandering through the mega-mart aisles looking for the one sparse selection of kiwi products, or you could go to a specialty shoe store and pick through their overpriced offerings.Amazon is great in this regard as it’s a one-stop shop and I was able to pick out what I needed with zero hassle. For this shoe care kit, it fit the bill for me perfectly, looking for a portable kit that had everything I needed but nothing I don’t.Unlike some other kits that throw in unnecessary extras (like wooden boxes, or one-off colors) this one is as bare-bones as they come. Both of the brown and black “premium” polishes performed as any other polish I have ever used (premium or not). The brush and applicator sponges are as expected and they provided several polishing cloths that should last about as long as the polishes included. It’s wrapped up in a convenient case that is perfect to throw in your luggage on a business trip, but is probably not as durable or functional as one would want for home use. For instance, there is no room in the case for an extra (third) polish tin, or any additional brushes.Overall, if you are familiar with, and pleased by Kiwi’s product offerings you won’t be disappointed, and you will likely save some hassle and money vs. buying all the items separately. The carrying case does a nice job of keeping your products organized and sealed so they won’t inadvertently come into contact with anything you don’t wish to get shoe polish on. It’s a great kit to throw into a travel bag, or to have on hand in the car / office in case you need to touch up a scuff or two.

great investment for leather
Brought my black and brown leather shoes back to looking great. Comes with a really nice brush and buffer cloth. The paste is nice and thick and covered up scuff marks. Kit comes with 2 daubers that are easy to use. Very pleased with the results. Got a really great shine on the shoes and the boots.

Shoe Polish Essentials
I’ve been looking for shoe polish and had a hard time finding it. I entered a search for a shoe cleaning kit and this item popped up. I received my kit on time (it came in a second box from my order but still within the promised timeframe). I used the polish this weekend and the kit was true to it’s advertisement. Contained: shoe brush, black & brown polish, 2 applicators and a finishing cloth. Everthing was great EXCEPT the handle came away from the foam applicator. The applicator is cheap but it worked. My shoes look great and my boots are polished and stored for the summer. I don’t know how much the single polishs and the brush are, but all in all I feel like I received good value for the purchase price. In the future I know to just get the polish and use an old sock or T-shirt for applicaiton and buffing.
