This doodle mat is great for my toddler and keeps him distracted, but not as long as I would like lol. Anyway, it’s got a lot of stencils and brushes/markers that you just fill up with water and they write on the mat with some kind of color changing surface. The best part is that it isn’t messy! I only give my toddler one brush/marker at a time because I don’t want him to lose the rest of the pieces. This is a great gift and temporary distraction for a toddler while I get things done. This is a great quiet time activity for your toddler! We got this because it’s mess free and our toddler loves to color. She doesn’t always like keeping the markers on the paper though so we went looking for something else. This is mess free and the colors do actually fade away after 5 or so minutes.We did leave a marker on it on accident for a few hours causing the water to pool up and now have a faded stain on ours so avoid letting puddles of water sit on it and you should be good to go!Our daughter is almost two and this works perfectly for her. Comes with multiple pens so more than one child or person can use it at the same time.

Encourages Creative Play!
This water art mat is fantastic for toddlers on up! It is mess-free and you do not have to worry about your child marking up your furniture or carpet or walls with the hand-held water markers it comes with. The mat can be washed and the art dries up for reuse on its own for use later. The mat is big enough for atleast 2 kids to share. I recommend buying two of these if for more than two kids at a time below the age of 5, depending on ability to share. The mat can be placed on any surface, but does not have any grip to prevent sliding of the mat on smooth floors.

Didn’t work out as expected
I purchased this mat for a visit from my granddaughters. It sounded like a good idea, but not so in practice. The “pens” were hard to open and fill, they leaked, so the mat had several small pools of water. I will say it entertained the girls, but needed to be used outside as it was a bit of a mess.

I love this coloring mat. It’s such a plus that the markers won’t color on anything but the mat. So no worrying about your walls getting painted. It’s large enough for multiple kids to use. All the little stencils make for added fun & to help aid the small kids in achieving whatever it is they’re trying to draw or write. I love that this can fold up small too for easy storage.
