The Good———————–+ Really strong magnet+ Multiple mounting options (vent or adhesive)+ Adhesive mount is very flexible in its design that would allow it to fit in a much wider array of places compared to others+ 15W fast charging+ Ring light on charger can be useful for finding it in low light settingsThe Bad———————— Haven’t found any yetThe Nitpicky———————–= Took me a little bit to figure out that you have to rotate the base to extend the hook for the vent mount, instructions are mostly just a QR code for a videoThoughts———————–I previously had an ESR magsafe charger for my car, but the plastic bit that connects the base to the mount broke and there’s no fixing that. Not too broken up about it because the ESR charger was always hit or miss whether it would actually charge my phone or not. Sometimes I could be driving for 30-45 minutes and it would only charge my phone 1-2% when it wasn’t even doing anything (no GPS, no CarPlay, nothing). I tried different cigarette port adapters, cables, with and without a case, even more than one ESR charging base and every time the same thing. Even across multiple phones when I upgraded my iPhone 12 to a 15.So this time I went in search of something different and settled on this. Only had a chance to use it on a single trip as of time of writing, but after I figured out you need to twist the base to extend/retract the hook for the vent mount, things went pretty smoothly. The magnet is pretty strong, so it won’t be going anywhere during normal driving. Unlike the ESR I had before, this time even on a relatively short trip of maybe 10 minutes to the grocery store, it had already charged the phone by around 1-2%. As long this behavior is consistent, I’ll be happy. I also prefer this vent mount to the old ESR one. The ESR was like a clothespin that you just “clipped” onto the vent flap, while this one hooks around the back and then you tighten things up so that it’s pressing against other parts of the vent to provide additional stability. The adhesive mount is also interesting how it can be made to fit a much broader array of surfaces compared to most mounts. Suppose the drawback would be in finding replacement adhesive pads if you ever need them.Edit 2/8/25: Still so far so good. Unlike the ESR charger, where charging was hit or miss, this one is working consistently. I’ve noticed that, unlike with the ESR, I get the charging screen with the circular graph of battery charge every time I attach my phone to this charger.Edit: 2/23/25: Probably the last update as the device is still working well and I have no new issues with it. I don’t usually like to drive at night if I can help it, but the light around the charger can be useful for letting me know where I need to put my phone.

This is a review of LISEN for 15W MagSafe Car Mount Charger, model Model: 2E778The ad copy claims that it will “Fit All Curved Surfaces”. The design of the base, looks like it has the best chance of any of this dash style mounts of actually doing that.The unit has a light ring built-in. The color of ours is a blue color. However, many of the ad photos show green. This light might be helpful in finding the mount in the dark. However, it could be a distraction while driving, if not blocked by the cell phone.Depending on your age and style choices, you will probably either love or hate the light ring. The good news is that it doesn’t move of flash, it is covered by the cell phone, and you can unplug the USB cable, at either end, if you really need it to go out.If you like the base, but not the charger/mount part, since is 17mm, you can buy a different 17mm product with a charger/mount that you like better, and use them together..For extra $$$, there is a Qi2 certified model, with a cigarette lighter charger.Also includes are a USB charging cable, a metallic ring for phones lacking a MagSafe Style ring, a template for attaching the ring, and a vent mount.The USB charging cable is about 1m in length, has a USB-C connector on one end and a USB-A on the other.Suitable Applications:A good solution for those applications where having the cell phone centered above the dash front, close to the dash edge, is desirable. Or if you have a suitable vertical surface. It is probably not suitable for most applications on the horizontal part of the dash, away from the dash edge.With the two pivoting 3M VHB adhesive pads and the ability to move the ball mount, this is a very flexible mount. So, it may well work places other mounts won’t.Pros:Suitable for surfaces with greater curves than most other mounts.Ball and socket joint (17mm ball on base) allows up/down, left/right tilt and rotation.Reasonably PricedClaims Qi1 compatibility.Cons:Does not claim Qi2 compatibility. (But a similar version claiming Qi2 compatibility is available.)You need to provide USB cigarette lighter adapter or other power source.

Holds phone in place well
I drive a larger car and I love that my phone doesn’t going flying off at the first bit of turbulence when going over a speed bump or driving through a dip. Very sturdy, easy to install, and doesn’t overheat my phone. Charger works well in my car didn’t have any problems with whether it was compatible.

Magnet is not very strong
I use it with an iPhone 13 pro max with a magnetic cover. I did not try the metal it is coming with, since my cover is already magnetic and should be enough.I attached it to my dashboard and within a 5mile drive on the highway it dropped the phone 3 times.I would not buy it again. The base is nice and I use the base now with the magnet from another mount I bought where the Base was not good but the Magnet was amazing.I am now t impressed and would not recommend this item.Update 8/12/24Lisen send me a replacement and i am using a Lisen mount in my personal car now.The first review was actually for when i was driving a Ram 5500 tow truck, now the truck shakes and vibrates completely different as a sporty suv or sedan so my review was a little unfair.Using the Lisen in my car is no problem at all, magnet power is good and the mount base holds well on the dashboard.Their customer care is outstanding, that alone should get 6 stars !I am adjusting my stars to reflect my new findings.

avevo comprato questo modello perchè uno dei pochi che oltre all’attacco per le bocchette dell’aria condizionata, c’era quello adesivo. Ma facendo un test, ho visto che il gncio per le bocchette dell’ac regge BENISSIMOm ha un sistema di bloccaggio diverso dalle solite mollette e regge perfettamente evitando di usare l’adesivo. Magasafe rapido in ricarica e magnete super resistente. Ricomprerei.
