We love this formula
When Similac had their ecoli breakout my baby consumed some of the cans. We were notified by Similac that they sent us the cans in the mail and we gave them to supplement nursing when I wasn’t producing enough for him. We hadn’t settled on a brand and I really wanted organic but Similac sent these cans and I didn’t plan on doing formula so early. I didn’t expect to have supply issues. But ultimately I was stressed and my body couldn’t produce enough so I had to figure something out.One of my friends gave her son the original can but I was worried about my son’s sensitivity because he was having many bowel issues after the Similac episode. His bowels still aren’t normal. But this formula is so much better. He’s growing great and he drinks this stuff down.I was looking into the German brands but was worried about supply issues with shipping from another country but I do think that’s the best other than this stuff. This would be id guess the second best formula in the world. And that is good for me. I think we’re all on the edge of our seats waiting to see if we can’t get formula. But I noticed my stores have no formula. The only cans Ive seen in store is this brand in the red can and one other can of Similac nobody uses. But that worried me that all brands were gone except two and they were short on supply of those as well. The shelves have been bare for months. I’ve never seen anything like it. I’m an extreme couponer so I’m in store alot and Ive watched the supply issues with all products but formula shortage is scary because people will try to make their own formula and make their babies sick not meaning to. So please research what’s best for your baby. This was our choice and I’m happy with my regular shipment every two weeks automatically two of these cans are at my doorstep. Love it! Thanks for a great product and reliability during crazy formula shortage. Since switching to Earth’s best we haven’t run out of formula at all. I feel confident that I will not get any notifications saying they are out of stock any time soon. Can’t say that about the grocery store when the shelves of baby stuff is bare. I don’t know if anyone else has this issue but we’ve been getting a lot of bad baby food from the grocery store and the shelves are empty days before but stocked up with bad product. This is ridiculous!

My son approves
I strictly breast fed my son for 10 months when my milk production strarted dropping. A friend recommended this formula to introduce to my son which he took very well. I started with adding 2 ounces of the formula and 6 oz of breast milk into his bottles. Then slowly started adding more. He did very well with the transition and now he can’t tell the difference if I give him a bottle with breastmilk or formula.

Awful, made my baby constipated and gassy
I combo feed (about 70% B and 30% F) and had been trying formulas due to my current one being phased out and to also try to find something that would make her poop less watery as it kept resulting in blowouts. Well…I regret trying this one sooooo much. After using it for a week, she didn’t poop for 5 days straight after being a 2-a-day pooper. Now maybe it wasn’t related, but after she pooped from taking prune juice on the doc’s advice, she resumed pooping on a regular basis after I switched back to what I gave her before. It’s been slow to get back to regularity so far, and she’s still super gassy…has stinky farts all the time now and didn’t have this before. I keep wondering if this ruined baby’s gut.If that weren’t enough, this formula is horrrrrrible to mix. It clumps like the devil and I had to mix it with a chopstick every time. You cannot shake and expect the bubbles to go away in a reasonable timeframe. Not convenient at all, especially if you are using this while out and about. I also did not realize cow milk was not the first ingredient until just before writing this review. I picked earth’s best based on reviews of the red formula, and too bad for me, I assumed lactose reduced meant lactose was removed from cows milk like it is with regular lactose-free milk. Apparently, I’m not imaginative enough with what “lactose reduced” could mean and what could possibly be in here. Also note that you should 100% dispense this by weight, not volume, as one scoop is super variable due to this product’s consistency. I regularly measured scoop weights of 25% less (like 6.6g vs 8.7g) than what was presumed on label.For all the negatives, the one positive is that once you got rid of the clumps, the formula seemed very smooth. That’s the only good thing I have to say about this product. It was super satisfying to chuck the rest of the can in the bin.
