Great little assist if you wear any sort of boot.
I own 4 pair of cowboy boots, 2 pair of hiking boots, and 6 pair of dress boots. At some point it dawned on me that it’s a pain in the butt to hop around on one leg or lean up against a wall to pull my boots off so I don’t track dirt into the house. Especially if I don’t have both hands free.LOL, the first boot is no problem as I can use the other boot to apply pressure. But the second boot is generally not coming off using my other foot with only a sock on it. So I finally decided it’s not crazy to own a boot jack. This looked well finished and well designed. There’s a rubber on the top to hold your foot in place. There’s also a rubber pad on the bottom of the vertical support to keep it from slipping on a floor and protect the floor from scratches. And the fork where you place your boot heel is also padded with ablak velvet cloth so you won’t damage your expensive leather boots. The size of the part where you place your foot to hold it in place is big enough for my size 11 boots. And the fork fits all my cowboy, hiking, and dress boots. I’ve seen people complain that these boot jacks don;t accommodate rubber barn boots and LL Bean style winter hunting boots with a rubber lower foot. And this is no exception. You’ll need to find a more specific solution for the bulky rubber boots. And I’m betting those types of boot jacks won’t work so great with leather boots. Finally, this is 1″ pine with a light stain and a medium gloss polyurethane finish. It looks vey nice hanging on the wall of my garage next to the shoe racks and shoe horns. Pine isn’t a super strong wood but it seems strong enough for this application if you don’t abuse or misuse it. And the price is very reasonable.I’m enjoying removing my boots quickly and easily. Should’ve bought one years ago.

Boot Jack
Easy to use and works well but it does scuff the heel of polished boots.

Not one size fits all.
Sorry I purchased this. Clearly I got what I paid for. The ‘seat’ around where the boot heel would sit to pull the boot off is a silky material which offers no resistance, seems to be glued on, and is already peeling off. This boot jack is clearly made for a man’s boots and my heel slips right out of it. There is a rubber pad on the bottom and even that was put on wrong, so I pulled it off and reset it. The grip pad on the top of the boot jack is the only thing that is nice. I told my husband to use this until the fabric falls off, which shouldn’t be long, and I’ll just put it in the garbage. I would return it, but already tossed the box. I’ll invest in a real boot jack, and find something nicer elsewhere. Don’t waste your money.

Very Pleased For Now
After reading reviews about non-wood, I decided on this. Have had this only a week, but to sit on my bench and be able to take off my boots with this – it’s a dream come true. We all age, why struggle, life’s too short. This does what it’s supposed to, grip pad works, no color transfer onto boots. I suppose the felt trim will wear off in time, but I expect that and will remedy it when needed. I am pleased for now, hope it’s durable and lasts for many yrs.

This is an excellent product which I purchased for my husband. The grip pad is soft and strong so it doesn’t damage your boots but still has a stong grip.
Town Crier –
