Being in the cold season is a huge sickness guarantee. My son had had a ton of colds and fevers especially. These cooling pads looked like a great way to soothe his discomforts. The pack includes a good amount so I can use it on multiple occasions. My son had a little discomfort adjusting to it. It definitely helped him cool down and get better sleep, but the patch’s adhesive is quite weak and wouldn’t stick for long. The duration definitely got reduced because of this. Although the patches work, they don’t stay onto my baby’s skin for very long wasting a lot of patches.

Different from the Kobayashi gel sheets in one important way: they stink of mint!
Amazon stopped selling the Japanese Kobayashi gel sheets that I sometimes use when I have migraines. I was looking for an alternative, so I bought these. They’re smaller, meant for children I guess. But that wasn’t the problem. I would have even liked the fact that they were packed in singles rather than doubles more, but… one of the additional ingredients we see on the package is mint, and HO BOY these things absolutely REEK of mint. I am not averse to mint. I love mint chocolate ice cream and Altoids and minty toothpaste and mouthwash. But something about these things, I just can’t stand the smell. I didn’t even like having it sitting in my trash near my desk. They’re that strong.I’ve since found what I believe to be the proper American-released equivalent to the Kobayashi gel pads, so these were refunded to Amazon. I’m giving them one star because I literally could not use them without the smell making me feel worse. If you love mint or just want to give them a try, go for it, but don’t say I didn’t warn you.
