These laces I have ordered twice in the last two days! Bought New Balance 990 tennis shoes size 14 that have 7 shoestring eyelets on each side for laces, 5 lower and 2 high at the top. Top holes are to keep your foot from sliding towards the toe when running . Being older these shoes were purchased for walking and I only will be lacing the bottom five eyelets. The oem laces that came with the shoes were between 58 and 60” long . Way to long for only lacing 5 eyelets.ordered 137 cm (54 “) laces and we’re almost the same length as the oem shoelaces and were to long so I am returning them . Ordered the 127cm (50”) laces and these were very close to being too long as well ! The reasons are they were 2” longer than stated and they also stretch nearly 2” in length. CONSIDER THESE TWO FACTORS……..they run a tad long and they stretch even longer when pulled for tying. Knowing what I know now I would have purchased 120 cm (47” ) shoelaces. Here is a pic of the shoe laces in the shoes. The untied has 16” of lace outside the eyelet. And the tied shoelace has 5” loops and 3” tails.
