Simple and Reliable
This is a good table top size and super easy set up! Easy set up and works great.

Excellent thermometer,,,,
Easy to set up and maintain. I bought one in 2018 and the sensor has endured getting blown off its hook soaking wet, frozen in ice and snow. Just plain suffered immensely and held up like a champ. I’d dry it out ,new batteries and it bounced right back. 6 winters and steamy, wet summers the sensor finally died not owing me a thing. I’ll say this is a very durable unit, and didnt think twice buying another identical thermometer. The indoor monitor has simple, attractive display with a small footprint. Money well spent

Good distance range
Installed the sensor about 150 feet away from the display, to measure temperature inside of an RV that is parked inside a detached garage. In the way between the display and the sensor:one insulated exterior house wall100 feet of open airone non-insulated exterior garage wallone 2-foot-deep set of shelves filled floor to ceiling with boxes of random electronic components and equipmentone RV wallI’m getting a full-strength (all bars) reading on the display and a reasonably accurate temperature, within +/- 2 or 3 degrees (plenty close enough for my needs).I’d say this device does what it’s advertised to do and works well. = = = = = = = =Update: Took one of the remote sensors and put it down deep in the innards of my RV, lying on its back instead of upright as recommended. It still gives me 3 out of 4 bars signal strength through all those walls and all that stuff in the way. Pretty impressive. = = = = = = = = = =Update #2: I’m considering buying another of these to use elsewhere on the property. I asked AcuRite customer service about interference (e.g. from channel A on one set to channel A on the other) and they advised that interference is likely. Hard to understand why they don’t allow for the case where next-door-neighbors might each have a set of these… how do they mitigate interference?… appears there is no way according to AcuRite CS. I still really like this system but am considering a demotion to 4 stars because of this. = = = = = = = = = =Update #3: Just finished another exchange with AcuRite Customer Service, and it appears certain now that there is no way to avoid interference between two separate systems each with its own set of sensors. I’m a retired embedded systems software engineer and I can say that it would be simple to implement some kind of serial-number-based protocol so that the master unit would ignore all but its own sensors, however this appears not to be the case. Demoting this to 4 stars because of this. I considered demoting it to 3 stars but it really does work very well within the limitation that if you have two of these systems each with its own sensors, expect interference between the two. = = = = = = = = = =Update #4: I was contacted by a different AcuRite customer service person who assured me it IS possible to keep two systems separate. So I went ahead and purchased another one for temperature monitoring elsewhere in the home. I can tell you now from personal experience that it IS possible to keep them separate but it is a MAJOR struggle to get them to sync to the correct senders, and if one of the senders loses sync for even a short time, the master unit will happily latch on to the corresponding sender from the other system.A very simple firmware change would completely mitigate this issue.Leaving this at 4 stars because as I said it really does perform well as long as you don’t try to run two systems anywhere near each other. I’m also a bit unhappy that I haven’t seen any response from any AcuRite people to this review. Are you folks paying attention?

What a deal
My old weather station was acting weird, I looked at a ton of them and settled on this being the best fit for my needs, the three included trasmitters are a bit larger than the one I had and they do not have the temp on them but, this comes with 3 and the base station has it’s own, so for $40 or whatever it costs, this gives 4 temp readings and the time, it would have been beyond great if instead of the time it had humidity but again its only like $40.I dont think it came with batteries although if it did I probably would have tossed them anyway as those included batteries are usually not to good.I read some other reviews that said they had trouble syncing the sensors, I actually read the instructions, and thats a hard thing for a guy to do but I did it anyway, I followed the very simple procedure and within less than a minute I was all set, it actually took me more time to decide how to place each one so I would remember which was where. A is outside in “the AIR” B is in the Bathroom and C is in the Crawlspace. It’s great to be able to monitor the temps at my mountain cabin with this device! If and when this goes bad, and I hope it lasts a few years, I will for sure purchase another.

Great product
Replaced an old system that finally died. Works great for displaying inside and outside temperatures.

Excellent
I already had two of the single units that I have used for the last two years that worked flawlessly. I needed to add a third unit and decided to go with this one. Setup was extremely easy. I monitored the temps and was able to tweak the space heaters for optimum temperatures in my two pump houses and greenhouse. I can keep them from freezing while not overheating them. I can keep my electrical bill from being so much and help conserve energy. I have temperature gauges in all three and the Accurite sensors are accurate. I highly recommend this brand and their products.

This thermometer with 3 sensors is awesome. A bit pricey but a good brand name and works perfectly

Kept track of temperatures in chicken coops. Had an old model which still works but appreciate the improvements such as a specific button to change from Deg. F. to Deg. C.Every adjustment can be made via menus but having single purpose buttons is VERY user friendly.

Jan 2021 (arrival day) I already own a acu-rite 02099rx base station whose temp sensor (00592txr) failed. I purchased this unit as a replacement and hoped the supplied sensors would be compatible with my existing base. It was cheaper for me to replace the entire system than ordering a sensor from a Canadian supplier (my 02099 plus sensor cost me less). This unit is as stated and upon arrival worked as stated. It took about 3 years for my sensor to fail so No idea how durable these ones will be. The base unit is LCD and its viewing angle is acceptable. Compared to the 02099 base it is exceptional (the 02099 is absolutely terrible!) The base is not backlit, runs only on 3 aaa cells, and the the rear button location for some might be an issue. I am also not sure if the cycling between sensors can be stopped, an issue if you want to always display one sensor and manually scroll through the others. (Apr 2021 — Confirmed cycling can be easily stopped … read the manual … but unused A-B-C channels cannot be exclude. Unused Channels show up as “–“)The sensors were of two types. The sensor included in the base system box is model 00592tx. I have tried this sensor on two different 02099rx bases across all 3 channels and it will not connect (it does work fine with the supplied base). Two other boxes were included each with a model 00592txr. This sensor model came with the 02099rx and as expected they worked fine with both the old and new base stations.I believe the 00592tx lacks the humidity capability that the 00592txr has. It would have been nice if they had all worked on my old base. At -30c I really don’t give a rat’s butt about the humidity, I just want to know how fast I need to move to keep all my fingers and toes attached. Even with the incompatibility of the one sensor I still ended up ahead. I now have my old system back with a spare sensor, and an additional base and sensor for the lake.DEC 2021 – still working as expected. Been monitoring the temperature variation against a outdoor thermometer and so far, they are +/- about 1 degree (same as old unit). Checked batteries in LCD base and they are still within acceptable operating range. Ended up putting the non humidity version into a greenhouse, one outdoors, and last one keeping as a spare.

After one of my parents decided to take the hose to their only temperature sensor, I ordered this for both the thermometer display (they wanted one for upstairs) and the extra sensors (just in case). About a week later, it and their previous display wouldn’t show the outside temperature. Having the extra sensors came in handy because someone (the other parent) decided to use a pressure washer to clean the vinyl siding on the house without removing the sensor first…
