Very effective
Perfect! Exactly what I needed. I liked that it wasn’t a set of 3 or 4 items. It is just one pair of curved scissors. It’s exactly what you need for touchups. I’m sure you could get away with complete detailing using these scissors. I like to use them to clean my guy up between grooming. I’d love to send him every couple of months, but I know he doesn’t like the experience. He is a 11 year old American Eskimo that has gotten cranky over the years. I suspect he has a medical issue that we haven’t been able to identify yet. Most likely just aches and pains. Anyway to limit his time at the groomers I use these scissors. I was using normal office scissors and they were not effective.Picture: I cannot remember if this was before or after his trimming but. Here he is!

Very sturdy but takes practice
These are nice, weighty scissors and I like that they have the blunt end so there won’t be any severe accidents if my dog moves suddenly. The loops also sit nicely on my fingers, and do not cause any problems with rubbing, nor fatigue. However, my dog is very nervous, so if there is something stuck in his fur that needs to be snipped out quickly, I find it difficult to accomplish using these scissors because of the curved end. Even when I’m giving him a a quick trim while he’s distracted with a peanut butter mat, I find it hard to use these because of the curve. It just feels very unnatural. I’ve seen plenty of professionals use them, so maybe I’m not doing it correctly, but I’m just not sure what the purpose of the curve is. It just seems like straight scissors are more familiar and much easier to maneuver. Perhaps that’s a personal preference.
