Great, fun item for a Barbie fan!
LiteBrite is so fun and when we saw this and for a great price, we grabbed it! The designs for the Barbie version are really fun and the colors are very happy colors! 😀 We started with the B in the heart design and it looks really great. There is the nice function of the light that has a few different settings, so that is a nice variety to display your item. Would agree with other posters that the stand will not support the weight of the item, so we placed it on a table against a wall. Maybe place something in front of the LiteBrite so it does not slide and fall. If you love LiteBrite and Barbie, this is a must!

Nostalgic!
I had the HUGE Lite-Brite with the full-sized lightbulb when I was a kid. Remember how hot that used to get? Memories, lol! We used to LOVE playing with our Lite-Brite. I was thinking of those memories and looked on Amazon on a whim, in hopes to share those memories with my teen. I was so excited to see this Disney version, since we are a huge Disney family. This new version of the Lite-Brite did not disappoint! It was so fun to do together as a family. The pictures are super cool and the colors are beautiful! The lighting aspect doesn’t appear that bold when you are in a bright space but take it in the dark and you will see how truly strong the lighting is, with four different light modes to choose from. It is also much more compact than the version we had as kids, which is a huge plus. The only comment I would make is that there are exactly enough pegs to complete a picture, not really any extras, so be careful not to lose any pegs. Also, I would suggest that if you are able, make color copies of the Disney paper inserts, because once you poke the holes and complete a picture, you will not be able to redo that particular picture again. If you have copies, you will be able to enjoy doing the pictures again and again.UPDATE – I had someone ask which characters came with this Lite Brite, which I thought would be a good thing to include in my review. I have attached a photo of the back of the box so that you can see the templates of which characters are actually included. They are Mickey, Minnie, Dumbo, Cinderella, Goofy, Donald, Woody & Buzz, Ariel, Pluto, Simba, Tinkerbell, and a Disney castle template.2ND UPDATE – For those that asked the size of the pictures, they are 8” wide x 7” high.

The kids love it and so do we!
This Mickey Mouse Light Brite was such a nostalgic find! It brings back great memories, and the kids absolutely love it! The lights are bright and vibrant, making each design really pop. It’s so fun to create different pictures, and it keeps everyone entertained for hours. The Light Brite works perfectly, and it’s a wonderful activity that we can all enjoy together. Highly recommend for both kids and adults looking for a fun, creative way to spend time!

Brings back memories of the old light brights! So many pegs and cute designs. I do wish you could leave the light on full time to use as a nightlight, it is on a timer of about 15 minutes.

5 stars for kids. But as the grandparent. And owning a 1st generation. This new lite Brite pegs are tiny. Barely able to grab with bigger size fingers. Colors are really close with red vs pink. Can hardly see a difference. Kids like it. Takes multiple days to do so keeps kids busy. But 4 stars because of the super small pegs. And they do get lost in rug and noisy once sucked into a vacuum

I remember my parents buying a Lite Brite for my sister and me when we were kids and I recall it being huge, there was a light bulb inside the box, and it plugged into the wall, and it was not very bright and the template designs that came with it at the time were quite basic.When I saw this kit with the detailed Disney designs – I had to give it a whirl. I bought it as a gift for the family to share.It is much smaller and more portable than the Lite Brite I had in the 80s (which is a good thing). It is also much brighter and has four different light modes.When I first finished building it (took about 30-45 minutes) I looked at the image on the back of the box and thought this does not look like the box. However, once I snapped the photo – it does look just like the image from the box – and from a short distance you can see the design better.Now that the Lion King one is finished, I think I need to buy another kit – not certain I want to take it apart now and build another with the same kit. SMH.

Fun toy for 5 years and up
Great value for the money! Keeps my 5 year old entertained for hours. The light is in fact bright and I like the new settings than what I remember from years ago. this is a go to gift for birthday parties now for me.
