Keeps phone out of line of site (mostly)
I was using a suction cup holder but it frequently would fall off with the super hot temps of the south. I purchased this and it not only makes my site line more visible but also is easy to rotate if needed. It does sometimes get loose, but it can be re-tightened in the back. Hold strongly to my phone! My previous phone mount had a magnetic back which I loved for ease of putting phone on or taking phone off mount. It takes a little to get used to this as it does require 2 hands to put the phone in or take the phone out. (Which is probably better so I don’t grab my phone while driving!)

Cheap phone holder – it may fit all phones, doesn’t mean it will stay put
This phone holder has a 3-point mount for the mirror as you see in the Amazon catalog picture for it. However, it does not consider that most USA car mirrors have the dim/select lever on the bottom center of your rearview mirror. So you have to mount it to one side or the other of this dimmer lever on the mirror’s bottom. I have a personal phone that is a Samsung S20 Ultimate 5G Plus. it’s a heavy phone, The squeeze mount grips on this holder (at the mirror where it hangs) have nothing to lock it in place, so if I hit the brakes firmly in my car – my phone and the entire mount fling off the mirror and land wherever inertia takes it in the car. This happens when I cross railroad tracks, medium to large street cracks, speed bumps, and potholes, in the street. It just does not stay on the mirror and I even tried to bunji cord strap it to the mirror, but it just won’t stay put.I would NOT recommend this product to anyone I know and it’s too late for me to return it.

Fitment and longevity.
Seemed very good at first. Really difficult to install on electronic mirror, one that has compass. Over a period of time in the heat the supports have bent and is no longer tight enough. A good concept. Just don’t have faith is going to last.

I use this for my rear camera display. I was concerned it would block my vision but it is very unobtrusive.It fits very tightly on the rear view mirror and it is also very adjustable.
