It’s a great shaver. Really impressed with how well it holds a charge. Have nicked the sensitive bits with it, though. Overall, can recommend.

Works ok but leaves 1/8″ stubble
works OK but doesn’t get very close. I have about 1/8″ stubble left after using so hairs still catch on shirts.At least the edges are curved so it is relatively safe shaving but still need to be careful with the boys.Battery gauge is good. I seem to take 20% charge for 5 minutes or so.A little slippery so I might drop it and break it one of these times.

A surprise attack from the depths of trimmer treachery. It’s like the trimmer’s way of saying, “Hey buddy, remember me? I’m here to keep you on your toes… and your fingertips!”It’s almost impressive how it manages to defy its own advertising, turning a promised cut-free experience into a game of grooming roulette. Will it be smooth sailing or an unexpected detour into the land of regrets?But hey, if you’re into living life on the edge (or should I say the blade), then this trimmer might just be your grooming soulmate. Just be prepared for a few surprises along the way (and maybe invest in some extra gauze while you’re at it).In conclusion, this is a trimmer that’s as unpredictable as it is effective. It works nicely on the face and bulk, the light is a bonus, but beware: it’s got a knack for leaving nicks when you least expect it. I picked this up to replace a first or second generation Manscaped trimmer that died on me. My twig and berries in need of a good trim, I took to Amazon and found this product.The Enssu is roughly 20% of the cost of a comparable product from Manscaped and my review is through that lens.The build quality of the Enssu is pretty solid. It certainly feels comparable to the build quality of the Manscaped trimmer I’m replacing. I have a newer Manscaped beard trimmer, and the build quality of the Enssu isn’t too far off that either.The LED is actually strong enough to be useful… the more illumination the better when operating appliances near your groin. The charging stand is a nice touch… it’s something that Manscaped sold separately with earlier models. It also comes with length guards and a brush.As for doing “the deed.” The motor powered through my pubes like a hot knife through butter. I’m not really one to push the boundaries of whether or not a trimmer is truly “nick free” but I felt safe in the hands of the Enssu so long as I was careful. Much the same with my Manscaped trimmer actually.The water resistant claim is holding up for now as I do all of my trimming in the shower!There’s a display that shows you in minutes how much pube shearing power the trimmer has left in it. I’m not sure how accurate this is, or how useful. I suppose if you have your routine down to a science, it might be helpful to know that your trimmer won’t die out early and leave your package with an unintended moustache.Small quibbles: The charger cable is two pronged rather than a simple USBC interface. If you travel a lot, it’s nice to have to only bring the bare minimum of chargers with you. Also, I would have liked a longer charging cable just for versatility of placement.Overall, I’d say you’re getting at least 75-80% of the quality of the Manscaped trimmer for 20% of the price. So, five starts from me based on the bang for my buck factor.

📦 What’s in the box?-Overall, this was nicely packaged with little excess packaging.-shaver, two positioning combs, cleaning tool-charging base, charging cord, carrying bag-instructions👍 Pros-Ergonomic design, easy to hold and maneuver. It has a decent weight to it without being too heavy. The weight and design make it very travel-friendly.The LED light is surprisingly useful. I didn’t think it would be but I stand corrected.-It is waterproof. I tested it in the shower and the shaver still works after getting wet.-I like the attachments and the carrying bag is a nice touch. I appreciate the charging stand as it looks nicer on the bathroom counter, and you do not have to unplug and plug it back in each time you use it – just take it off the charger and set it back in. However, you do have the option to bypass the base and plug directly into the charger.-Instructions are easy to understand.-There is an LED display that shows how much battery is remaining. I tend to store it on the charging station, but the indicator is still helpful.-The price is excellent.👎 Cons-I do not like the two-prong charger. It would be preferable to have a USB-C (common end) rather than a less popular end. Although maybe the base precludes using a USB-C end…not sure.👀 My Thoughts-The description does not mention use for the head however, the instructions do…just something to note.-This shaver provides very good functionality at a fraction of the price of other shavers. Will it last? That remains to be seen. A good price is only good if the product lasts. I will update as necessary.-At this point in time, I would recommend the product. I was very impressed with almost everything.

I had ordered a waterproof BODY hair trimmer for men, as advertised by the company on Amazon. The product description boasted of its singular suitability for body grooming, yet the label on the shaver’s box read “Waterproof Hair Clipper.” To my disappointment, the User Manual and packaging did not mention the intended use for body grooming. That is misinformation at its best. I felt dubbed.While the electric shaver may not align with the specific assurances of a BODY hair trimmer for men, it did seem to offer some potential benefits. This shaver should be termed a Multi-use shaver, suitable for grooming the head, facial hair, and (potentially) other body parts. Perhaps it may not be ideal for those seeking an electric shaver designed explicitly for body grooming – such as myself – yet my expectations were not totally dashed.Despite conducting this review in a limited timeframe, my evaluation is based on my experience as an adult male using this product and unbiasedly detailing any positive or negative aspects.MY STORY:I have owned and reviewed over two dozen electric shavers. While I do not necessarily consider myself an authority on body hair trimming/shaving, I do that. I had been led to believe this was an electric shaver designed explicitly to trim all body hair from the neck down. Now, I have some doubts. I have had excellent results using high-end Multi-use electric shavers to trim body hair. As good as they are, I was looking for THE shaver to do the best job at manscaping. My experience with both types of shavers gives me a good background for comparison. Yet, I admit that my standard for finding the ultimate manscaping shaver has set the bar very high.In my view, for the requirements of a manscaping shaver, you need to look for a shaver that is easy to use, cordless, battery-operated, rechargeable, has a built-in LED light, is waterproof and preferably uses long-lasting ceramic and stainless steel blades. This shaver possesses all of those criteria.This product became available on Amazon Canada in December 2023. I requested this product in mid-April of 2024.WHAT YOU GET:The product is neatly packaged in a cardboard box with a moulded plastic liner for the shaver and a blue/green felt-like bag for storage—a nice flourish. Yet, the bag is too small to hold all of the contents.The electric shaver measures approximately L 140mm x W 45mm x H 32mm (L 5 1/2in x W 1.6in x H 1.3in) and weighs only 112g (4oz). It uses lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and includes a USB Type-C charging cord designed for this specific shaver, plus an included charging base. Also, there is a long-handled cleaning brush and two double clip-on plastic Hair Trimmer Guards, one (3mm & 6mm) (1/8in & 1/4in) and another (9mm & 12mm) (1/3in & 1/2in) that fits over the ceramic and stainless steel blades.A user manual is included for this shaver, which provides information on how to care for it. However, it only comes in English and does not provide guidance on using the shaver, except that the Trimmer Guards can be adjusted to the desired length. The manual also warns that children should not use the shaver unsupervised! Notably, the manual says nothing about its use for manscaping.My shaver came with a 60% charge right out of the box. This company states that the shaver should only be used each time after the battery is fully charged. It charges in 60 minutes and runs for about 60 minutes. In this case, I believe recharging the shaver after each use is best.The company does not offer a manufacturer guarantee, warranty, or contact information, which should be of immediate concern to any buyers of this product!My first impressions were mixed, but only the shaver’s use and performance in trimming body hair would prove how effective it might be. That was my only intended purpose for using this product. For some reason, as you will read, I was hopeful.THE TERMINOLOGY:I have taken this opportunity to explain the terminology so that you can better understand it. You should then be able to determine whether this product is suitable for your needs.Manscaping?You read the Amazon ad for this product and have reached this point in my review. In that case, you likely know that “manscaping” is about removing OR trimming body hair. Men commonly use this term to remove/trim hair from various body parts, such as the chest, back of the neck below the hairline, and back (you will need someone to help you with this part, OR get a long-handled shaver made explicitly for this use), arms, underarms, legs and groin area. Most men would deny any manscaping routine, but it has become commonplace. Many gay men and professional athletes – most notably bodybuilders and swimmers – have done this for decades. Although there is nothing wrong with keeping your body hair, shaving/trimming it can be beneficial. It can help improve hygiene since excess hair can hold dirt and bacteria, leading to odour or infections if not cleaned properly. Another benefit of shaving/trimming is that it may help prevent fungal infections, as hair can hold moisture. However, you do not have to shave all your body hair. No scientific evidence states that certain areas should not be shaved, so you can decide how much hair you want to be removed or what length you want your body hair to be.It is also essential to maintain good hygiene when manscaping. However, many warnings exist against using any razor blade or a safety razor. It is best to use a waterproof electric shaver designed for manscaping. Shavers with ceramic heads are particularly suited for this task.Before manscaping, consider using a conditioner or moisturizer to soften your hair. Skin irritation, burns, rashes, infections, ingrown hairs, and cuts are all possible. To reduce these risks, apply lotion after shaving, test a small part of the area if you have sensitive skin, moisturize, use clean tools, exfoliate before shaving, and be gentle when trimming your hair.Manscaping can make you feel more confident, comfortable, and attractive, but you must decide if it is the right choice.Should you care about the use of Lithium-ion batteries?Understanding your electric shaver’s battery type is essential to knowing how to charge it properly and avoiding common misconceptions. Charging processes vary depending on the battery type and usage.Lithium-ion batteries are newer and more efficient than other batteries. They are 95% efficient or more, meaning most energy stored can be used. They last longer, with an average of 2,000 to 5,000 cycles. You don’t need to drain the battery before recharging, and you don’t need to worry about the “memory effect” that weakens other batteries. You can recharge lithium-ion batteries regardless of their charge level. This company states that the shaver should only be used on a fully charged battery. Also, it is NOT possible to use the shaver while charging. In contrast, other companies suggest using the factory charge until you need to charge it again. Follow the manufacturer’s recommendation for using their device’s charger and cables. Some suggest recharging the battery after each use, while others recommend letting it run down once every six months for 14 to 16 hours before recharging. Avoid leaving batteries to charge unattended to prevent overcharging, damaging the battery and shortening its life.Lithium-ion batteries have some limitations. They can lose power over time if exposed to high or low temperatures or overcharging. Follow these tips to avoid damaging your battery:- This company states you should only use the cable that came with this shaver. It is designed explicitly for this shaver and can NOT be used for other models or devices.- Avoid overcharging your battery. Disconnect the charger immediately when your battery is fully charged, or use a Smart Charger. Some devices have indicators or alerts that notify users when the battery is full. This shaver is fully charged when the LED battery display on the shaver reads 99.- Avoid extreme temperatures. (That is also good news.)EVALUATION AND RATING:I used this electric shaver several times over the parts of my BODY that I am accustomed to shaving and trimming, including the groin area. I put it through its paces, as I explained in the manscape section of this review. I was particularly interested in seeing if the Bladelock and upgraded cutting head of the ceramic blade with a special R-angle on both sides made a difference. Also, if the rounded teeth of the two blades prevented nicks and snags in the delicate groin area, a safe trimming experience is what every man wants and needs.As I indicated, I have very high expectations for shavers that indicate they are made for manscaping. I aim to find a dedicated manscaping shaver that outperforms good multi-purpose electric shavers for the same purpose.I must admit that I was very pleasantly surprised when I used this shaver. It did a good job and was at least as good as two other multi-purpose electric shavers I have used for manscaping. Although it was smooth running and performed well, I did get two minor nicks in one delicate area. So, this shaver does NOT prevent nicks. Yet, I believe this device’s upgraded ceramic blade and rounded teeth make a difference. I also used this shaver with its trimmer guards to tidy up my beard and moustache. It did a great job on my course facial hair, proving this is a Multi-use shaver with good body grooming capabilities.But, I am still looking for THE shaver to do the perfect manscaping job.This is only the second shaver I have ever used that is waterproof, so I can clean it and use it in the shower. I admit that I prefer using a shaver after a shower rather than during a shower, but that’s just me.It seems that most electric shavers are now using USB rechargeable batteries. Every bathroom has a wall outlet, but how many have charging stations? Otherwise, you must have a smart charger in the bathroom or charge the shaver somewhere else. I am not sure which is the most inconvenient. Again, just a personal preference!Having a built-in LED light on the top of the shaver just behind the blades is a fantastic idea. The difference it makes while shaving is incredible, especially in the more delicate areas like your armpits and groin. I believe that every shaver should have an LED light. It’s the little things that count.The price point of this body shaver is incredible.This shaver may very well be right for you. Yet, suppose you already own an excellent multi-purpose electric razor for your manscaping. In that case, you may not be any further ahead by using this shaver. However, it might be worth trying out for yourself at this price point!I am pleased to give this Multi-use Hair Trimmer For Men with LED Light, Waterproof, Rechargeable With Stand – by ENSSU a solid 4-star rating.
