Great for my sensitive baby with food allergies
I never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after reading a few here with parents experiencing vomiting with this product and their babies. My little one has FPIES which is a type of food allergy that is not detected by the usual blood test. FPIES stands for food protein induced enterocolitis syndrome and is basically a GI reaction to a certain food protein. With FPIES, babies experience vomiting and/or diarrhea rather than an anaphylactic response. This product contains wheat which is one of the most common triggers for FPIES and food allergies in general. I suspect those who have tried this with their babies and experienced vomiting have a wheat intolerance.Back to the product— my little one luckily does not have a wheat allergy. He tolerates this stuff well and it’s been great mixed in with his morning yogurt and puréed fruits. I also add it to bone broth and basically anything that needs a little more oomph to it. I always finish his leftovers because I hate food going to waste, and I think the taste is very subtle. It’s mostly just for added texture. Packaging makes it easy to measure out. No complaints!

Great product, we feed it to our baby toddler every evening
We have fed our son since about 6months to 2+ years old in the evening after dinner but before bed, we mix this with whole milk. He seems to sleep better though the night having a cereal like this in the evenings with whole milk mixed with it. We intended on using this same product with our daughter once she hits 6 months old.

    Baby’s 1st food
I’ve tried different cereals with my infant, but this one by far is the easiest on his stomach. It has good consistency and flavor as well. A good first food for an infant.

    Organic
I like this product! it does great thickening up my granddaughters baby food. I also had put it in her formula to make her not get so hungry in the middle of the night.

    Best baby oatmeal
My baby loves this cereal. I started her on rice cereal, but when I read the Consumer’s Report article about the levels of arsenic in rice cereal, I quickly switched her to this. I have also given her the Earth’s Best brand oatmeal, but I think the Gerber has a better texture — the Earth’s Best seems more mushy — at least for my little girl. And the Amazon price on this is less expensive than at my local stores.

    My sons breakfast staple
My son has been eating Gerber oatmeal for breakfast since he was 6 months old. It is a great source of iron, easy to make, and easy to add all sorts of mix-ins into!
