I just wanted to tell everyone looking around for a more cost effective solution that this food does work for my cat’s urinary crystal issues. The prescription food is not appetizing to my cat, costs a ton, and is really just junky food from a nutrition standpoint. My cat really enjoys eating this food so that’s a real bonus in addition to the cost difference.I’d say it took a few weeks for her to get the all clear with the crystals so it won’t happen overnight. Just be patient. And once she got the all clear, she was still peeing outside of the litter box because the poor thing had a kitty version of PTSD about the pain I think. My vet put her on Amitriptyline and within a couple weeks she was peeing in the box again. To break it down and make it easy if you want to try what worked for us, this is what I do to maintain her urinary tract health:Morning: 1/2 can Purina ProPlan urinary tract health wet food with warm water addedFree feeding of this Iams Urinary health dry food throughout the dayDinnertime: 1/2 can Purina Pro Plan urinary tract health wet food with a capsule of Cosequin for Cats sprinkled on it and added warm waterEvening: 1/2 pill of Amitriptyline at night before bedtime (wrapped in a pill pocket to make it easy)You can get all of the supplies here on Amazon, though your vet has to prescribe the anti depressant for the pharmacy to fill. I hope that helps anyone struggling to get rid of urinary tract issues in their cats. I was skeptical that this budget brand would work as well as it did! Well worth trying to see if it helps your kitty too because it’ll save you a heck of a lot of money.

Cats like the taste
After losing a cat to kidney cancer, my veterinarian suggested I start feeding the rest of my cats this product to keep their urinary tract, clean and working well when I first introduced this tooth cats they weren’t amazingly excited about it. It was a mixed reaction some liked it some didn’t even wanna smell it, but I left it out there and let them get used to it and now they love it. Every single cat loves it. They like the taste they eat it and the best part is that I don’t see any throw up of the product anywhere white. When you open the bag, it doesn’t smell like the cheap cat food. You know that smell if you have cats, you know that smell it smells like a good clean product the cats love the smell of it and because there’s no ground yellow corn in the ingredients the cats aren’t lethargic after eating it so their energy level and happiness has been really, really good. their urine has been consistent and I’m very happy with the product.

Nice and affordable
My cat had crystals and after spending more than 2k at the vet I will never feed him regular food again. This food has been helping him, I fed him prescribed food from the vet that was like $80 and my cat did not like it he would throw up every day eating it so I was looking for alternatives and this one has not been giving him problems and it’s good for the price. Been feeding it to him for about 4 months now and so far no more problems.

Great food!
I switched my cats to this a few years ago and almost immediately noticed a difference in how soft and luscious their fur is now. I have a lot of cats because they get dumped here so while this brand is more expensive than some others, it does appear to be much better quality. I get the urinary tract health food because of how common it is for males to get blocked. Since I switched I’ve only lost one male from this terrible condition. Considering how many strays come and go here, I consider that a success. And probably most importantly: the cats love it. They were thrilled when I switched them to this.

Crucial for my cats
I have been using this cat food for years. I have 9 indoor cats ( at one point had 15!)…2 of which NEED to eat this due to history of urinary/bladder crystals and stones. I work in vetted, and had been feeding Hills C/D, even for me it became too expensive to feed a 17lb bag every 7 days. I started blending IAMS urinary diet with my C/D to make it stretch out. I’ve done this for years….no issues with my “bladder boys” . IAMS diet has been a lifesaver for my cats, and for me. They all love the taste, and it’s easier on the wallet. I also feed my bladder boys C/D canned food in addition to this dry. Great diet for them all.

Only urinary tract health cat food my cat can eat without throwing up
This is the only urinary tract health cat food one of my cats can eat without throwing up. I needed to switch to one because she got urinary crystals that were making it uncomfortable for her to go. I tried several other brands that all looked similar to each other (more yellowish instead of the usual dark brown) and all of them made her throw up. This one doesn’t, she apparently likes the taste and it cleared up her problem in just a couple of weeks so I’m keeping my cats on this food. As a bonus it’s much less expensive than the previous brand I was feeding my cats.

Last year one of my cats was diagnosed with FLUTD. It took me a long time to find a dry cat food that all the cats in my home liked and was appropriate for the FLUTD cat. Iams urinary formula is the one LOVED by all my cats, both the healthy and sick ones.My cat with FLUTD has not been sick since eating this food. He’s the fussiest of them all and he LOVES it.
