Great Plant Protein
The Vanilla flavor is delicious – not too sweet or artificial-tasting. It’s smooth and creamy when mixed and no gritty texture. It blends easily into smoothies and shakes. The flavor is versatile and works well with other ingredients. Also the SPIRU-TEIN GOLD seems to have decent ingredients.

This product was recommended but I could not find it in town (tried another brand but it tastes like protein powder-ugh!). This one is good and no soy, no whey, no sugar. Perfect!

Different sweetener than the regular spirutein
I wasn’t sure what made the Gold different than the regular spirutein. On first taste, it seemed less flavorful which was already a bummer. But, then I got diarrhea. I later realized that this one is sweetened with xylitol, where regular spirutein uses monk fruit and some fructose. So, if you have a reaction to xylitol, skip this. I would stick with regular anyway because it tastes better.

Soooo Yummy!
I love, love , love Spiru-tein. But when I found out that isolated soy is not something you should consume if you have had cancer, I made the choice to stop drinking it. Then soy free Spiru-tein GOLD came out and I am in heaven!!! It is just as smooth and creamy and tasty as the original. I love the fact that it has so many vitamin, minerals, amino acids etc. and all you have to do is drink them. I hate vitamin pills! I tried other protein drinks without soy and they were not as tasty or satisfying as Spiru-tein. They seemed to have a heavy gritty taste to me. So I would recommend Spiru-tien GOLD if you have concerns about isolated soy and still want that smooth and creamy taste this is the original Spiru-tein.

I received this product in a timeley manner and was very excited to try because I am a type 1 diabetic and I work 12-16 hours a day and needed something packed with protein and low in carbs. I was so disappointed when I open the container and the smell knocked me over. This is by far the worse smelling and tasting protein drink I have tried. And I have tried a few. I really tried to make it work. I used milk, water, juice, and fruit to mix in with it to try and drink it. Maybe this product works for some, but I couldn’t even give it away to other people I work with who are also doing the protein drinks. It was just too much and it went in the trash. It was a waste of money and effort trying to make it work. I am now using a different product that was more expensive, but whatever I add to it, its delicious.

It is very good but what I don’t like is the shipping costs is high because it is shipped from someone other than amazon. I can get the regular vanilla, a bigger can and cheaper, sometimes even free shipping and I like it just as well. I was curious to try this kind though so I went ahead and got it. I will stick with the other though because it is much more cost effective for me and in my opinion just as good.

This is my favorite powdered Energy Drink mix, and I have tried many. It tastes very good to me, and my body seems to absorb it happily. I like that it has spirulina ingredients as I know this is particularly healthy. I choose the Gold version because it’s soy free. I highly recommend this product.
