Fun and inexpensive toys for both boys and girls…
There were toys similar to this when I was growing up. They were lots of fun to throw around. But – The older ones had strings and parachutes made out of thin material that always tangled and broke. These are pretty intelligently designed. They don’t tangle up and the fabric can take a pretty good beating. They were given to four grandchildren – two males and two females. They all loved them. And as far as I know, they haven’t been broken yet. Excellent cheap gift for kids.

Good parachutes
These are a lot of fun. The parachutes are bigger than I expected and very sturdy. I do wish the method in which they are attached to the plastic guy was better. They are sewn and it doesn’t take too long before they get loose.

Very fun but not as durable
These were a great hit with the young boys. They absolutely loved tossing them over the banister and watching them fall.Unfortunately the ribbons tying the men to their parachutes were beginning to fray after only several hours of play. I was kinda hoping they would last at least a month or three.

These are so good!!! They work so well, and don’t get tangled like the really cheap plastic ones. The parachute is more like the fabric on a real parachute. My son loves them!

Cute but Only For a Day or Two
These parachute toys worked well when flung off an upper deck but are pretty flimsy and if they hit anything hard when flung (i.e., a railing) the little men will get chopped in half. Also a couple came apart where sewn. Needless to say, they may be fun for a birthday party but won’t last long.

Fun and no tangles
My kids loved playing with these parachute men. It is much better than the traditional string parachutes that can get tangled. Just toss them up high and watch them parachute down every time.

Much better than the ones we had when we were kids
I purchased these for my son’s 4th birthday after reminiscing how fun I had with them when I was a kid. I recently finished building a fort for my kids that sits on stilts 8 feet off the ground. Dropping and throwing paratroopers from the fort came to mind so I started searching around online.Most the paratroopers I had as a kid were very cheaply made with flimsy plastic chutes and thin string tying them together. The plastic chutes wouldn’t open when bundled and thrown, and the strings would quickly get tangled up. I remember the best way they worked was to just keep their chutes open and hurl them up as hard as we could, but because of not being bundled they wouldn’t go very high. They were mostly short-term use then throw away paratroopers because the plastic easily ripped and strings became tangled.Well I must say that those days are now over and these new paratroopers are very much new and improved. The chutes are made of thin nylon/silk-like material, and instead of strings they have netting attached to a single nylon strap to hold the chute to the trooper. I wasn’t thinking much when I purchased these but was pleasantly surprised to see how well they are built compared to what I was used to. Don’t get me wrong, the material is very thin and cheap feeling, bu these are cheap toy paratroopers after all. The threading that attaches the nylon strap to the parachute is also a little questionable and may need to be re-sewn if used heavily, but time will tell.I also wish either the parachute was bigger or the paratrooper were smaller so that they would fall slower. I am probably going to attach a smaller figure to the parachute (if my son will allow it) and see if I can get them to fall much slower. Any way, for the price and what you get compared to what we had when we were kids these are a great buy and I’ll likely be buying more.
