They really plump up once wet
I didn’t get these for a baby, I got them for me to use with liquid soap in the shower (I hate those “floof” things). Are the size of an adult hand, they come compressed about 1/8″ thick but expand to a full 1″ thick once you get them wet a few times. Hold liquid soap well, would be good for even cleaning uses. Not just for kids and infants, they work well for a lot of applications.

I don’t enjoy poufs and I don’t enjoy the so-called “natural” sponges because they always seem to get moldy easily.These are a synthetic sponge wrapped in a washcloth, making better lather and having a softer feel against the skin than a pouf. It also makes the soap spread better. Because they are synthetic, they dry out quickly after use and don’t get moldy.Works for me, so I use them. Most of these are marketed towards kids. There aren’t a lot around for adults, so I bought these even though it would be nicer if there were adult-sized ones available.

Sponges are soft and durable. BUT they are way too stiff for a baby. I’m not able to get into creases easily and it doesn’t form around my baby’s body. Sponge would be good for a toddler, but as these are advertised as a baby sponge, I would not recommend.
