Dremel brand is better
Was feeling optimistic reading the reviews and figured I’d leave the most detailed review to help others make this decision, I work (as a dog groomer) with the dremel brand dremels, they can be quite loud, the andis dremel is extremely quiet in comparison, that being said I’m sure it’s quieter because it has a weaker motor, this is great to get puppies used to it but if you’re going to desensitize for professional grooming you’re not going to get anything better than the dremel brand, this andis thing holds a very weak charge, only lasts about 3 squirmy dogs, not effective on medium to large dogs which is stated on the box, waste of money for the price

Works fine but……
The box had no seal and appeared to have been opened. Plus when I went to charge the device it was already at 100%. I’ve never seen that before. I can only conclude that it was NOT new. Otherwise, it seems to work fine.

The unit was good until it stopped holding a charge after about 9 months of use – used about 2X’s per month for about 15 mins. As of righrt now, I am unable to get any acceptable service or replacement from the seller or Amazon.UPDATE: I contacted the manufacturer directly and their customer service group was great. I provided proof of my purchase and they are sending out a replacement unit.
