If you see this review on a different item, then there are either multiple item options, or the listed item was changed.I picked this up for use with my Cobb Accessport in my car. My windshield-mounted holder’s suction cup was giving up the ghost in the summer heat, literally melting and starting to run down the windshield near the body pillar, so it was time for something new. I hate vent-mounted holders because they block the vents, and I didn’t want to get another suction cup holder just to have the same thing happen again eventually, so I was excited to find this item.This holder lets me put my Accessport exactly where I need it: right around the steering wheel where I can see it without having to look away from the road. I clipped it to the left side of the speedo/tach shroud, where my Accessport is high enough to be viewed above my hand on the wheel while driving, but low enough that it is not above the wheel and interfering with my line of sight. It sits high enough above the rest of the dash so that the data cable does not get pushed on or have pressure against where it attaches. Additionally, it does not get in the way of putting up my sunshade when parking outdoors.The only nitpick I have is that I wish the arm on this could swivel as well as move forward and back, but for my use case it still works brilliantly. Better placement than a suction/sticky base, no melting or loss of adhesion, easy positioning and strong grip on an inserted device makes this a 5 star choice.

Unfortunately this was not going to work in my husband’s car and it’s hard for me to give a fair rating when I couldn’t really get it set up to see if it would hold the phone as promised.
